Presented By:

You may be Wondering…
WHY I MOVED FROM MY HOME IN FLORIDA
TO MY HOME IN THE FEDERATED STATES OF MICRONESIA…
The FSM: A Stable, Young Nation
The FSM Constitution: “One nation of many islands” ... divided into four island states that encompass 607 islands.
…with more than one million square miles of ocean…
And great potential for development of fisheries, tourism, clean energy, and agriculture.
The FSM: A Welcoming Nation
This week we celebrate our 25 year relationship with Japan, as one of our strongest allies and development partners.
We continue to welcome Japan as a friend and a partner to enjoy our beautiful islands and help us continue to develop our resources and our economy.
Japan has helped development in the FSM in so many ways…
DONATION OF THE FSS UNITY THROUGH THE NIPPON FOUNDATION.
ASSISTANCE WITH OUR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - AIRPORT TERMINAL AND RUNWAY EXTENSION
Additional assistance in helping us reach our potential:
Japan has helped in our clean energy development through donation of solar panels to power the Office of the Executive, President Mori, at Palikir, Pohnpei;
Development of road drainage waterways;
Training of our maritime officers;
To name just a few….
What Role does the Rule of Law Play in FSM’s Development?
BY IMPLEMENTATION OF THE RULE OF LAW, THE FSM PROMOTES TOURISM AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, BY OFFERING A STABLE, SECURE ENIVRONMENT
THE RULE OF LAW PROMOTES THE SECURITY OF OUR FISHERIES FOR OUR NATION AS WELL AS FOR THOSE NATIONS WHO WANT TO FISH IN OUR WATERS IN A SUSTAINABLE AND HEALTHY MANNER.
Finally, the rule of law promotes a safe, and lasting business environment for its for foreign investment
