Software engineering (SE) is the application of engineering to the development of software in a systematic

Our staff dedicated to the analysis and design of new systems and mobile apps has their own

Our company is Sant’Ambrogio partner for the distribution of software solution for mechanical calculation
and cost evaluation of pressure vessels and heat exchangers in accordance with different standards:
ASME Section VIII division 1 and division 2, AD 2000, VSR, VSG and EN13445. All packages have a
modular structure, so each user can customize the programs according to his needs.

NEXTGEN is the new software for mechanical design
and verification of pressure vessels and heat
exchangers in accordance with ASME VIII Divisione 1 /
TEMA, Divisione 2 , EN-13445-3 e AD 2000, with
options for calculating in wind and earthquake
conditions according to NTC, Eurocodes, UBC 97,
ASCE 7-10 modules for the calculation of loads on

SIGMA in Italy.
ROHR2 is the leading Software for Pipe Stress
Analysis, a standard tool for static and dynamic
Analysis of complex piping and steel structures,

ASME B31.3, EN 13480 and other standards. The
software can be integrated with a range of additional
tools and programs enhancing the engineer’s daily job,

PROJECT CONTROL SERVICES
Our Company is able to provide highly professional project management and control services. The
software primarily used for these activities is Primavera and Microsoft Project.
The most important tasks of the project control are:
• Ensure the effectiveness of the Planning and Progress
Control System, monitoring the progress measurement
system and ensuring the proper information flow,
progress status and completion forecast are assessed
and reported for Engineering, Procurement,
Fabrication, Construction and Commissioning phases;
• Update all Project Schedules, collecting actual data,
evaluating forecast dates and monitoring any progress
and productivity deviation compared with the baseline
schedule, including the corrective actions taken by the
PM;
• Create and maintain the 90 days look-ahead schedule,

In 3D computer graphics, 3D modeling (or three-dimensional modeling) is the process of
developing a mathematical representation of any surface of an object (either inanimate or
living) in three dimensions via specialized software. The product is called a 3D model.

heating oil refinery furnaces. For such projects we have also carried out stress
analysis on internal and external lines, the piping assembly development,
isometrics, bills of materials and the specifications of the supports for burner

Field surveys are an integral part of our business. They are carried out mainly

Stress–strain analysis (or stress analysis) is an engineering discipline that uses many methods to determine the
stresses and strains in materials and structures subjected to forces. In continuum mechanics, stress is a physical
quantity that expresses the internal forces that neighboring particles of a continuous material exert on each other,
while strain is the measure of the deformation of the material.

results of the analysis are used to verify a structure's fitness for use, often precluding physical tests.

pressure vessels in accordance with
European, ASME and API regulations,
performing fluid dynamics simulation activities
with ANSYS CFX and Fluent.
Piping and support efficiency control
• Checking the main piping lines and supports;
• Identification of maximum stress areas and
critical piping;
• Identification of the corrective actions necessary
to restore the optimal conditions for piping and
support systems;
• Proposals to correct supports abnormalities and
defects;
• Performing the balancing of the springs.
The purpose of the methodology is to allow the plant, after several years of operation, to return in the
optimal design conditions through the following steps:
LASER SCANNING AND GEORADAR
Laser scanning
The combination of resources between our companies allows us to manage, and be competitive, even
on complex projects that require a substantial effort of hours for data processing, model registration and
their 2D / 3D processing (dwg format or other upon request); for architectural or building surveys we are
able to provide compatible files for BIM design.
The hardware devices used are Leica (Hexagon group), while the software used for image processing
and their engineering are mainly: Leica, Autodesk (Autocad, Inventor, Revit, 3D Studio max),
AutoPLANT, CADWorx and BricsCAD.
The main areas where we operate are: plant engineering and infrastructure, architecture and urban,
geology, industrial archeology and cataloging, topography and georadar.

Our Company is able to provide complete coverage
by combining the traditional methods with the
topographic laser scanner system, with the aim of
restoring products and satisfactory in terms of the
amount of information and the high degree of detail
of the information collected in the country side. The
digital model obtained, corresponding with extreme
precision to the reality, it will be geo-referenced and
integrated in the CAD system with the same
coordinate system.
The laser scanner technology, is today the most
innovative, rapid and extremely accurate, to
perform measurements of objects and surfaces of
any complexity and size. The individual scans,
reconnect to each other in space by means of
unique points in common between them, it allows to
obtain a digital model consists of millions of 3D
points, corresponding to the reality and having
millimetric-precision.
In modern engineering, the general meaning of laser scanning is the controlled deflection of laser
beams, visible or invisible. Within the field of 3D object scanning, laser scanning combines
controlled steering of laser beams with a laser rangefinder.
Georadar
GPR has many applications in a number of fields. In the
Earth sciences, it is used to study bedrock, soils,
groundwater, and ice. It is of some utility in prospecting
for gold nuggets and for diamonds in alluvial gravel
beds, by finding natural traps in buried stream beds that
have the potential for accumulating heavier particles.
Engineering applications include non-destructive testing
(NDT) of structures and pavements, locating buried
structures and utility lines, and studying soils and
bedrock. In environmental remediation, GPR is used to
define landfills, contaminant plumes, and other
remediation sites, while in archaeology it is used for
mapping archaeological features and cemeteries. GPR
is used in law enforcement for locating clandestine
graves and buried evidence.

Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) is a geophysical method that uses radar pulses to image the
subsurface. This non-destructive method uses electromagnetic radiation in the microwave band
(UHF/VHF frequencies) of the radio spectrum, and detects the reflected signals from subsurface
structures. GPR can have applications in a variety of media, including rock, soil, ice, fresh water,
pavements and structures.
Once the scan has been carried out, the data obtained are analyzed:
• Phase 1 – Transformation of the data acquired in the survey campaign by optimizing the
recorded signal;
• Phase 2 – Identification and estimation of the depths of sub-services and structures through
the use of dedicated 3D processing software, the results are then transferred to a CAD /
GIS software to be integrated into the cartographic survey.
Our structure, composed of highly qualified technicians is able to provide the following activities:
• Complete design with execution of the on-site measurements and processing of the obtained
data;
• Data processing from Georadar scans with drawing of results obtained in ".dwg" format; the
most used software are: Autodesk (Autocad, Inventor, Revit, 3Ds Max), AutoPLANT, CADWorx,
BricsCAD.
Architectural relief
We are able to perform architectural surveys with laser scanners for buildings of any complexity and
extension, residential, commercial, industrial, directional, historical bound. The drafting of the project is
usually carried out in an Autocad environment, Revit modeling and 3dmax studio, Revit to BIM (or other on
request).

For architectural survey (geometric-topographic) we mean the measurements made for the
acquisition of data for the graphic representation of buildings, parts of buildings and the
environment that surrounds them.
Topographic survey
We are able to manage and develop topography projects with the use of the most modern hardware
equipment (drones, etc.) and software, the main phases of the project are usually the following:
• Initial survey of the area, generally
georeferenced to the geographic north (Google
Earth orientation) and orthometric quotas, that
is the sea level;
• Tracing of the entire work starting from the
excavations, foundation jets and elevations with
respect to the structural executive drawings
• Verifying as-built project with the possibility of
virtual tour of the area generally possible
through laser scan or with drones;
• Monitoring of works on site with reports to be
agreed with the structural engineer for
verification of sags and plumbness.
Topography is the study of the shape and features of the surface of the Earth and other
observable astronomical objects including planets, moons, and asteroids. The topography of an
area could refer to the surface shapes and features themselves, or a description (especially
their depiction in maps).
The detailed survey is performed with laser
scan station, Leica P20, the quality of the data
is ensured by the digital compensator. The
cloud of 3d points, will be built through the full
registration of all movements (Scanword) that
will connect all the internal environments for
each floor with the outside, allowing to
contextualize the compendium with the
external road network and with neighboring
buildings in adherence or neighbors, including
coverage.
The complete Modelspace will be made
available to be completed by the client in
Autocad or dwg compatible.
