• We are creating a sense of community and friendship
• ...building a future for generations
• ...providing an environment for children to stay away from the street
• ...and learn in a healthy, fun and safe way
The purpose of the school is not simply to provide the intellectual
tools to gain employment...
We will nurture fully rounded children around the principles of
love, happiness and passion
We will provide the framework for children to tap into their inner
power
Eventually, we will develop a broad education curriculum, nurturing the
mind, body and spirit
The school ran out of money 7 weeks ago
...and the priorities for the next 6 months are to:
• Mobilise a UK based team of supporters• Have the school produce enough bags and beds to
pay for salaries, meals and basic overheads• Register an NGO and build a website• Acquire the land• Build 2-6 more classrooms• Set up a regular flow of visiting international volunteers• Start a nursery, and eventually a primary
...we need to raise at least £30,000 to fulfil upon this
...we encourage you to think about different ways to support?
Can you:
• Help us build a website?• Do a sponsored run / event?• Offer us pro-bono legal / accounting services?• Put us in touch with some funders?• Help manage UK incoming donations?• Join us in Uganda and visit the school first hand?• Help with paperwork / admin?• Introduce us to corporate sponsors / high net worth donors?• Set up a direct debit with us?
...and to give you a sense around the value for money
...in the village
£100 would buy
• 2 teacher’s salary for 1 month &• 1 cook’s salary for 1 month &• Life saving vaccines for 4 people &• A daily meal for 15 people, for 1 month
...no the “&” is not a typo...you get the lot for £100
