A Typical Day on the Job

The Nature of social work consists of meeting with patients daily, to deal with diverse conflicts; Such as life threatening, anxiety, substance abuse and etc. It’s pretty much a 24 hour job. You need to be

available for your patients at ALL TIMES.

To purse in Social work you need to go to

college to receive at least your Advanced Degree, Masters Degree, and at least your Bachelors Degree. College

consists of at least 4 years.

destructive behavior and start to take care of themselves and get well.“

"Depending on the nature. Frequent contact with other healthcare providers: medical doctors, Nurse practitioners, hospitals. Legal system, school system, and impatient chemical dependency treatment facilities. "

• Were there many barriers or setbacks?  If so how did you overcome them?"Very competitive, That was an obstacle. You had to do very well academically, and you had to score high and the graduates exam. The biggest obstacle really was how hard and lengthy the education was.”

• What advice would you give to a student before he or she starts college?

"Give 110% because it will transform your life."
