Analysis of CD back cover development

This is the back cover image of the singer holding the props that is the balloon. We hadDecided upon choosing this image because it relates to the front cover image of her in theSame pose and position but from a different perspective that is the back of her. The steps that were taken to get to this stage of the back cover was that we had done To what was done to the front cover image. That is using the magnetic Paso tool and Creating a new layer, pasting it and changing the colouring of the image.The mise en scene that was created in this image worked perfectly well with the musicVideo as most of the scenes where in black and white images and the performances beingIn colour. In addition the artists image such as her dark clothing connotes sophistication, One that you would usually find in the jazz/ indie rock genre.

The next step in the processwas adding the names of songsand this was placed on the left side of the image as so to makethe audience read the wordsclearly and still keep the balloons as a central focus of theimage. The font that was usedis the same font that was usedfor the front cover of the albumto keep with the products identity.The colour of the font was in whiteyet again for easy reading andbecause the image is in black andwhite, white font would be the most suitable choice.

In this step, we added the bar code which is a conventional feature of CD albums and you would usually find one on the bottom left hand corner. Afterwards the institutional information as added to ensure that the image was keptas realistic as possible. The style of the font and colour was yet again kept the same as withthe rest of the writing.

The last step of the development was adding on this further information of the bandby writing their website. This is an effective way of advertisement and in was placedin white blocks so the font could be read easily.
