question 4: How did you use new media technologies in the construction and

research, planning and evaluation stages?

Throughout the construction of the music video and ancillary products we had used:

For constructing the music video we hadused a camcorder to record most of thefootage we had needed and the camcorderwas provided for us by the school as well as thetripod stand that was needed for certain scenesThat required the picture to remain still and focused on the location. I was pleasant with theoverall result of the scenes we had shot in centralLondon but was unsatisfied with the quality of thecamera of filming the park scenes. This was becauseof the time of day we had shot them as it was sunset,the natural lighting had made the filming look moredim.To correct that problem we had to use the brightnessand contrasting effect on Adobe Premier when editingthe camera footage we had shot. I had also used thisprogramme when editing my vox/pops for research andplanning.

For the ancillary task we had used a bridge camera that had also belonged to theschool and we had taken pictures for the magazine advertisement at school withthe performer having to stand in front of the green screen and lights being placedon her for the best possible quality coming out of the pictures. For the imagescontributing towards the front cover album and back cover album we had used oneof our own cameras and had taken the shots whilst in our location of filming themusic video and that was at the park. For the construction part towards our finalancillary products we had used the programme called Adobe Photoshop and thisis where we had added any effects that was needed and the writing and extraimages that was necessary to make it appear as the desired product as possible.

Throughout constructing the research and planning and evaluation we had used the following websites and programmes:

I had used blogger as a way of presentingall of the work that I have done for preparingfor the final music video and products. I hadposted things such as the development thathad taken place and I had constructed thisdevelopment using another website calledSlide share. I had created some PowerPointPresentations in which had included the analyticaldevelopments of my ancillary and video productsand after uploading them on this website, itwas then embedded onto my blog. It was donein this way so that it does not make my blog looktoo lengthy as the slide share posts are likea creativity to me as well as making my overallblogs appearance look more tidy and assessable.

These two websites were also used whenconstructing my evaluation and the questions that had slide share presentations where put in my blogIn the same way as mentioned above.

I had used YouTube for uploadingthe final music and the vox popsthat was part of the research andplanning stage. After uploading themthey were then composed into my blogin which it was then also accessible.

I had used Microsoft word duringmy research and planning to conversein things such as ideas for our musicvideo and the sketches that were takeninto consideration when producing our ancillary products. The snipping toolwas used to create images out of the word documents and they wereinserted into my blog as images.
