Works citedAxworthy, Lloyd. "UN Admits Rwanda Genocide Failure." BBC News. N.p., 15 Apr. 2000. Web. 31 Oct. 2010. <http://newscdn.bbc.net.uk/2/hi/africa/ 714025.stm>. This interview with several people talks about how the UN did not get involved in the Genocide. The people interviewed admit to messing up and they say they will never do that again. This article is from a World News. It is very known because it can translate the information in thirty two different languages, so that everyone can read it. This article taught me how in a big situation people make mistakes. It also taught me that you need to learn mistakes and apply those mistakes to the future.

Ruxin, Josh, and Nicholas D Kristof. "16 Years after the Genocide, Rwanda Continues Forward." New York Times 6 Apr. 2010: n. pag. Web. 31 Oct. 2010. <http://kristof.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/04/06/ 16-years-after-the-genocide-rwanda-continues-forward/>. This blog talks about how this man traveled to Rwanda sixteen years later. He tells readers how much it has changed and what is different now. The New York Times is a very credible newspaper. Although I did check and see if the author was credible and he is. The author has wrote several blogs for the The New York Times. I have learned that over time things change and most of the time for the better. In situation it was for the better and Rwanda is truly making a come back and trying to get things back to normal and up to speed. "Rwanda Civil War." Global Security. N.p., 27 Apr. 2005. Web. 31 Oct. 2010. <http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/war/rwanda.htm>. The information on this page consist of the ethnic groups and their population. The page also tells how the economy works and who runs most businesses. This page is called Global Security and has real information. I googled Global Security and it is credible for its information. This article enhanced my learning by showing me that their is a difference in the ethnic groups in Rwanda. Their also different ethnic groups than Hutu's and Tutsis. The economy relies on the agriculture business in Rwanda to make its money. • \

"Rwandan Genocide." Wikipedia. N.p., 30 Oct. 2010. Web. 31 Oct. 2010. <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rwandan_Genocide>. This page talks about how the Genocide started. Also it states about the RPF and how they tried to take over the government. I first scanned the paper and making sure everything was credible. I picked the RPF and made sure the information I got on them was correct. This web page helped me understand the Genocide better because I thought about what caused the genocide to happen. This article taught me why the Hutu's did what they did and how the whole thing began over the hundred days. Ryan, Orla. "Rwanda's Struggle to Rebuild Economy." BBC News. N.p., 1 Apr. 2004. Web. 31 Oct. 2010. <http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/3586851.stm>. This article is about how Rwanda is trying to get their economy going. Since the genocide their was a drop in the economy, the people in Rwanda get their earnings from agriculture. This source comes from a world wide news website. It allows other countries to see the news in their language. The information on this website is reliable. I learned that taking a big hit can affect your economy. You always want their to be peace in your country or it will make your country look bad and if traveling is major for you, your economy could hurt. Thernstrom, Melanie. "Rwanda Today." Travel and Leisure. American Express Publishing Corp., 2010. Web. 31 Oct. 2010. <http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/rwanda-after/1>. This source talks about how the author made a trip to Rwanda and how she was surprised to good the area looked. She said the cities were a lot safer their than back in Manhattan. She felt comfortable their and not worried a bit. Since this information is a first hand account I knew this information had to be real. Someone could not just make up how Rwanda was and the things that happened that made the city safe. Although this website is a travel website the only thing I could find anything unreliable was the airline flights. This information taught me that people move on from a disaster. They people in Rwanda know that they have to pick up their country and make it better so that the economy can become much better.
