• Total economic output for the both Splendour In The Grass and Falls Festival is measured at $126.4m. Byron Shire accounted for $34.6m

• The total employment creation of 246 equivalent fulltime (EFT) jobs in ByronShire (representing 2.25% of the Byron Shire workforce)

• Total direct salaries and wages is $15.4m (including $6.6m in the Northern Rivers region)

• 52,800 room nights in commercial accommodation in Northern NSW (excluding Parkland’s camping grounds).

- 100% compliance noise management

- Successful transport system that was embraced by day patrons operating smoothly for the duration of the festival

- A reduction in complaints from 31 calls in 2016 to 13 calls in 2017

In response to the Police report issues after the 2016 Splendour In The Grass:

• All NSW Police are hired on a user pay system

• In the event of the need for immediate flooding or bushfire evacuation all patrons could be evacuated to the dedicated refuge assembly area in under 40 minutes

• The ELROM system for rating violence at venues is based on pubs and clubs with capacities typically less than 300 patrons. Parklands has up to 32,500 patrons and should be compared to small venues

• The terrorism threat of “probable” is the same level currently applied across Australia
