The focal point of the study is to know the awareness level of the female nursing students of OLFU.
The study will also include the concise
information about scoliosis.
•Scoliosis is defined as a lateral curvature of
the spine in the frontal plane of the body,
which means that the vertebral column bends
from side-to-side. (Hippocrates)
•Lateral curvature of the spine >10º
accompanied by vertebral rotation (Rene
Calliet, 1975)
•Level of awareness helps us to evaluate the knowledge of the female nursing students about scoliosis with that, the study may help them enhance their knowledge about scoliosis therefore
increasing their level of awareness
•According to Rene Calliet one of the most
important in treating scoliosis is early detection. Hence being aware of the etiology and signs and symptoms of scoliosis is significant.
This study will carry the main problem of how
much do female nursing students of Our Lady of Fatima University know
about the causative factors, early
recognition and prevention of the
ailment Scoliosis which will assess their level
of awareness.
