Introduction• This presentation will be based about my research

results and simplify how this information will help me

improve my art sketches and final creation for my game

Types of research• Creating a secondary research method, which was a

mind map and mood board.

• Games research and a primary research method survey

which all helped me design my game and advance my

work.

Mood board• the mood board gives viewers a little hint of what the

game is about and what will be involved in the game. The pictures help shows how the character looks and what he wears, also shows his main item ‘skull mask’ and his weapon that he makes in his lab. Mood board shows some settings in the game and the zombie/demons. Also it shows a big house with green grass that is the demon/zombies leaders house; I chose this because you wouldn’t think it would be a evil place. The 2 worlds upside down world and normal world; I chose this because in my game has 2different worlds evil and normal human being world

Zombies and demons appear when the character goes to the demon worlds and has to fit in with the zombies and demons not to be noticed. The character will then injected with a disease to turn him into a demon zombie.

Special abilities:Strength(beginning of game 20%- maximum strength 300%)speed ( can improve by buying special energy glowing drink for a 10second longer sprint; the stronger the drink the more seconds you can sprint extraHis physical appearance can improve by going gym; the more time you spend on the gym the stronger he will become but it will decrease his speed vice versa with his speed.The more time you spend playing the more weapons you can unlock.His powers can be improved by special chemical drinks that he makes in his lab; it takes a while to make 10-20 minutes but you can buy a special ingredient to make it as quick as possible.

Weapons:The weapons Bruce has at the start of the game is the skull mask with glasses, and his sword he made from his lab.

2 worlds, but can only be seen by wearing the special glasses in the game. The top world is were all the demons and zombies are, the bottom world is were human people are. Some humans are demons/zombies but can only be seen by the glasses

Mind map• The mind map shows what I want my game to be from

the settings to the main character his powers and

weapons but a little hint of each. It shows the main

characters details; it gives the viewer a little preview of

my character. Mind map shows the game but in little as

possible detailed.

• The game Black ops has a photo- realism graphical style

that that’s based on war, and I think the game being

photo realistic makes the game better to play with, rather

than it being cell shaded, Abstract, Cell shaded or an

Exaggeration graphical style.

• black ops features two playable countries (Russia and

the USA), but only has an American campaign, the

campaign's playable characters now speak while being

controlled by the player. game has a photo-realism

graphical style

type game. The games uses plenty of visual

effects such as smoke, lights, fire, explosions etc.

It really looks realistic which attracts the player.

These ideas I have gathered are to help me draw different weapons for my character to use in my games design, the weapons should look real, as the game is suppose to me a photo realism graphical style game.

• WWE 2k14 uses photo realism and is based on an

actual television programme called WWE. The game

uses real like movements of the actual characters in real

life, the walking, running, actions in real life and their

fighting styles. This will also help me with my game style;

action/adventure.

Ideas

I have used these examples to show what my character should look like. I want my character to be big, built and toned, this will attract teenagers to play as the character will look big and strong.

My ideas will help me sketch a drawing of a built body, for my character. This will also help my understanding of photo realism, so I will have to make it as real as possible.

The graphical style photo realism is a style of art and

sculpture characterized by the highly detailed depiction of

ordinary life with the impersonality of a photograph. in other

words Photorealism is a genre of art that encompasses

painting, drawing and other graphic mediums, in which an

artist studies a photograph and then attempts to reproduce

the image as realistically as possible in another medium.

Games such as grand theft auto and uncharted and many

others use photo realism graphics to give games

This question helped me decide what type of graphic style I should use in my game. I asked 20 people and this is what they thought would be good for an adventure game. The majority of people said photo realistic. I took this information and decided to use photo realism as I wanted to use that graphic style myself as well.

This question helped me with choose what weapon my character should start with, the popular weapon was the samurai sword which most of the people choose. I took this information and created a sword for my design.

This question helped a lot because I was really stuck with what setting I should use. As you can see most people choose 2worlds a bad world and a good world, I then realised it was the best setting for this game.

This question also helped me decide what the main character should wear most of the time. Long coat was voted the most and I will use this to improve my characters appearance.

This question helped me choose what item my character should have, this was a very hard decision for me so I asked people and this is what they thought. Special glassed was the popular and I used this for my special item.

What perspective should my game design be?

This question was also a hard decision for me. As you can see it was nearly a tie but most people chose third person. I will use third person for my design because I think it will fit in with the zombie style game play.

ConclusionAll the data I had collected, helped me to develop my game ideas. In my game research I looked at games that were photo realistic and looked deeply into the weapons and clothes, by looking at the opinions I have gathered, this helped me with my final decisions on the game design. I have asked in my questionnaire ‘What should the character use when fighting zombies?’ and majority of the interviewers chose the samurai sword. Here is my result of what I have draw and what they have chosen.
