Act Out! Is just one of our Programs
Act Out!Students have the opportunity to begin the very basics of theatrical training.
Theatre games and activities encourage critical thinking, team work and discipline.
The children become motivated and inspired to create and it gives them a safe environment to develop traits that will carry them through life.

In Their Own Words
“Nobody ever believed in me before. I didn't know I could do it”
“This was fun, I want to take acting in high school”
“It was really scary (to get on stage), but I think I’m a better person for doing it”

What This Means
Young Audiences is providing a critical artistic and educational element to schools and facilities throughout Virginia.
![Page 31: Presentation General Yav](https://reader033.fdocuments.us/reader033/viewer/2022052623/559b43bd1a28ab505e8b4751/html5/thumbnails/31.jpg)

Funding? Affordable Programming
Funding sources can be a challenge. YAV must compensate the artists and maintain overhead costs in order to fulfill our mission.
Residencies can be one of the more expensive ways to provide the arts, but the impact is stronger with a small group. YAV will help with grant writing and identifying funding sources.
