Why are we destroying the planet we depend on?

People want to be sustainable and will pay more for sustainable products. Fifty-five percent of global online consumers across 60 countries say they are willing to pay more for products and services provided by companies that are committed to positive social and environmental impact, according to a new study by Nielsen. From Nielsen. If most people want to consume sustainably then why are we over consuming Earths resources in todays consumption game? Desire to consume sustainably does not mean you will consume sustainably. Heres why:We are nave. People do not consume sustainably because the information about the cost to planet and society is not easily accessible to people when they choose what to consume. It is not fair. There is no incentive. People are also discouraged from spending extra effort to be more sustainable because in the economic game we are currently participating in, there is no incentive and there is no recognition for people when they choose to be more sustainable. We can change the way producers make food and products by voting with our dollars. Earth Symbuyosis changes the game by helping consumers vote for a better world with their dollars: it provides the missing elements of information, incentives, and recognition to make ethical consumption fun, fair, and easy to consume sustainably.

Extra SlidesWhat is the need Im trying to fill?

There is a need for consumers to know the effects of their choices in which products they consume. for consumers to be aware of and track the effects of their consumption choices, have them scored relevant to the ideal consumer who consumes within planetary boundaries, and to show others that and to prove to others that they care about the greater society and the environment it depends on for the successful thriving of the society.

Benefits to UsersI am trying to provide the users with the benefit of knowing and being socially and materially rewarded for consuming in the most ethically conscious way possible where their purchasing behavior is in sync with the values that they believe in. People value the Earth and their society, but they feel so ashamed when they have to go to the store and have virtually no information about the effects on the environment and society of the processes used by the producers of their food and other products.

How will my customers be better after purchasing my product or service?

My customers will enjoy a healthier sense of self and a healthier conscience. They will enjoy recognition by their friends and their communities for how much they care about the Earth measured by their water and carbon footprints and their quantified environmental and social impacts.
