Save us, O Lord; carry us back.Rouse your power and come.Rescue your people; show us
your face.Bring us back.
I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers and
sisters, that I have greatly sinned, in my thoughts and in my
words, in what I have done and in what I have
failed to do,
through my fault, through my fault,
through my most grievous fault;
therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all the
Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our
God.
As we prepare for the coming of the Lord
We recall our faults and beg his mercy……

First Reading A proclamation from the Acts
of the Apostles
Acts 13:14.43-52
Thus says the Lord, who opens a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters, who leads out chariots and horsemen, a powerful army, till they lie prostrate together, never to rise, snuffed out and quenched like a wick.
Remember not the events of the past, the things of long ago consider not.
Paul and Barnabas continued on from Perga and reached Antioch in Pisidia. On the sabbath, they entered the synagogue and took their seats. Many Jews and worshipers who were converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who spoke to them and urged them to remain faithful to the grace of God.
On the following sabbath, almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord.
Thus says the Lord, who opens a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters, who leads out chariots and horsemen, a powerful army, till they lie prostrate together, never to rise, snuffed out and quenched like a wick.
Remember not the events of the past, the things of long ago consider not.
When the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and, with violent abuse, contradicted what Paul said. Both Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first, but since you reject it and condemn yourselves as unworthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.
Thus says the Lord, who opens a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters, who leads out chariots and horsemen, a powerful army, till they lie prostrate together, never to rise, snuffed out and quenched like a wick.
Remember not the events of the past, the things of long ago consider not.
For so the Lord has commanded us, ‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles, that you may be an instrument of salvation to the ends of the earth.’ ”
The Gentiles were delighted when they heard this and glorified the word of the Lord. All who were destined for eternal life came to believe, and the word of the Lord continued to spread through the whole region.
Thus says the Lord, who opens a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters, who leads out chariots and horsemen, a powerful army, till they lie prostrate together, never to rise, snuffed out and quenched like a wick.
Remember not the events of the past, the things of long ago consider not.
The Jews, however, incited the women of prominence who were worshipers and the leading men of the city, stirred up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their territory. So they shook the dust from their feet in protest against them and went to Iconium. The disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.
Thus says the Lord, who opens a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters, who leads out chariots and horsemen, a powerful army, till they lie prostrate together, never to rise, snuffed out and quenched like a wick.
Remember not the events of the past, the things of long ago consider not.
Thanks be to God!
Responsorial Psalm
We are his people, the sheep of his
flock!
Thus says the Lord, who opens a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters, who leads out chariots and horsemen, a powerful army, till they lie prostrate together, never to rise, snuffed out and quenched like a wick.
Remember not the events of the past, the things of long ago consider not.
Sing joyfully to the Lord, all you lands; serve the Lord with gladness. Come before him with joyful song.
– We are his people, the sheep of his flock!
Thus says the Lord, who opens a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters, who leads out chariots and horsemen, a powerful army, till they lie prostrate together, never to rise, snuffed out and quenched like a wick.
Remember not the events of the past, the things of long ago consider not.
Know that the Lord is God. He made us, his we are; his people, the flock he tends.
The Lord is good; his kindness endures forever, and his faithfulness, to all generations.
– We are his people, the sheep of his flock!
Second ReadingA proclamation from the Book of Revelation
Rv 7:9.14b-17
Thus says the Lord, who opens a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters, who leads out chariots and horsemen, a powerful army, till they lie prostrate together, never to rise, snuffed out and quenched like a wick.
Remember not the events of the past, the things of long ago consider not.
I, John, had a vision of a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation, race, people, and tongue. They stood before the throne and before the Lamb, wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands.
Thus says the Lord, who opens a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters, who leads out chariots and horsemen, a powerful army, till they lie prostrate together, never to rise, snuffed out and quenched like a wick.
Remember not the events of the past, the things of long ago consider not.
Then one of the Elders said to me, “These are the ones who have survived the time of great distress; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. For this reason they stand before God’s throne and worship him day and night in his temple.
Thus says the Lord, who opens a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters, who leads out chariots and horsemen, a powerful army, till they lie prostrate together, never to rise, snuffed out and quenched like a wick.
Remember not the events of the past, the things of long ago consider not.
The one who sits on the throne will shelter them. They will not hunger or thirst anymore, nor will the sun or any heat strike them. For the Lamb who is in the center of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to springs of life-giving water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

GospelJn 10:27-30
Jesus said: “My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal
life, and they shall never perish. No one can take them
out of my hand.
GospelJn 10:27-30
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one can take them out of
the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”
Praise to you, Lord Jesus
Christ!
Profession of Faith (Nicene Creed)
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and
earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light, true God
from true God, begotten, not made,
consubstantial with the Father; through him all
things were made.
For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and
became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius
Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in
accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven and is seated
at the right hand of the Father. He will come
again in glory to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the
giver of life, who proceeds from the
Father and the Son, who with the Father
and the Son is adored and glorified, who has
spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one
Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and
I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world
to come. Amen!
Prayer of the Faithful
Jesus, Good Shepherd, hear us!
For the Holy Father, the bishops, and priests: May they be, for all the faithful, the clearest signs of God’s patience, concern, and love. Let us pray!
– Jesus, Good Shepherd, hear us!
For all the members of the people of God: May they appreciate the work done by their pastors, and support it with all their resources. Let us pray!
– Jesus, Good Shepherd, hear us!
For all parents, teachers, and civil authorities: May they be faithful to their mission to promote the good of the persons entrusted to them. Let us pray!
– Jesus, Good Shepherd, hear us!
For our young people to whom God addresses a special call to serve the Church: May they respond generously to the call and persevere in their vocation. Let us pray!
– Jesus, Good Shepherd, hear us!
For the forthcoming elections: May our electorate be protected from harassment and coercion; and may all election officers have the courage to resist intimidation and fraud. Let us pray!
– Jesus, Good Shepherd, hear us!
If there's one more giftI'd ask of you,
Lord it would be peace here on earth
As gentle as your children's laughter
All around, all around

Your people have grown wearyOf living in confusionWhen will we realize
That neither heaven is at peaceWhen we will live not in peace
ONE MORE GIFT
If there's one more giftI'd ask of you,
Lord it would be peace here on earth

All around, all around

If there's one more giftI'd ask of you,

May the Lord accept the
sacrifice at your hands, for the
praise and glory of his name, for
our good and the good of all his holy Church.
