TEACHING GRAMMAR

How to teach grammar

As we know grammar is one of the most difficult aspects of language to teach well.

Many teachers teach grammar by explaining the forms and rules and then drilling students on them.

This old method is bored and often students make errors when they try to use the language in context.

Page 3: Presentation

I think that the best way to teach grammar is through:

PowerPoint presentations games puzzles or seeing videos.

Page 4: Presentation

we should limit the time of explanations to 10minutes

should provide examples and use them as teaching tools.

pronunciation variants teach the doubling rule for verbs that

end in -d (wed-wedded) land out a list of irregular verbs that

students must memorize. do pattern practice drills for -ed. do substitution drills for irregular verbs

learning grammar is to learn the language of which the grammar is a part.
