Record label is a publishing company that manages, manufacture, distribution and promotions new artists. XL Record label is a British independent record label owned by Richard Russell. It originated from the 1989 record company Beggars Banquet and is part of the Beggars Group of labels. The average amount of album the company release a year is six. the company has worked with artists such as Adele, The Prodigy, Beck, Radiohead, The White Stripes, Dizzee Rascal, M.I.A., Vampire Weekend and FKA twigs. The label releases albums worldwide with a range of genres.The label was launched in 1989 to release dance music which the label was known for. The Records releases were dance oriented ranging from Belgium techno T99. Sales of Adele's 21 album helped to increase the income of the company from £3million to £32million in the space of 12 months. In March 2011 the record label released three albums that sold over a million copies in the UK. Virgin EMI Records is also a British record label owned by Universal Music Group. Virgin EMI Records was founded in March 2013 through the merger of Mercury Records UK and Virgin Records. The company operated in two distinct areas like A&R and the marketing stream. Virgin EMI became one of Universal music label in the UK. Virgin EMI's artists include The Libertines, Justin Bieber, Pixie Lott, Iggy Azalea, Elton John, Kevin McHale, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Emeli Sande, Taylor Swift, The Vamps,Krept and Konan and Kanye West. Capitol Record is a major American record label that is part of the Capitol Music Group and is a wholly owned division of Universal Music Group.
