• It is a small town situated on the east of the Czech Republic

• It has about 7 000 inhabitants

• There is a lovely square with lots of restaurants, cafes, pizzerias and small shops

• Every year we celebrate a special folk festival „Gorolski Święto – Highlander feast“

• It lasts three days

• Folk dancing groups and bands from all over the world come here to have a performance

• It is time for meeting friends and family reunions

Jablunkov is a system of fortifications constructed from the mid-sixteenth century to the mid-eighteenth century along the Silesian and Hungarian border in the Jablunkov Pass area in order to defend against the Turkish threat.
