What is Orkestra?

Orkestra-Basque Institute of Competitiveness is a research centre for analysis of territorial competitiveness. It was founded in 2006 through Deusto Foundation, University of Deusto, and is backed by the triple helix of government, university and private business with long-term commitment (4-year funding periods).

The Institute aims to play a key role in improving the well-being of the Basque Country’s citizens.

Through its world-class research, specialised instruction programmes, and constant interaction with economic agents, Orkestra seeks to lead and accelerate the development and implementation of public policies and business agendas that enhance the competitiveness and well-being of the Basque Country.

Who will attend? Practitioners on clusters, competitiveness and economic development at firm, city, regional and national level. Business leaders, cluster managers and facilitators, economic development practitioners, policy makers, government officials, researchers, analysts, consultants, development agency teams.

Conference Registration is now open, with an earlybird fee of €695 until 30th June, and a full-price fee of €895. TCI members are entitled to a €200 discount.

Call for Participation is open until 31st May. We are inviting proposals for presentations in three broad types of workshop:
