Prerana Shishu Vidyalaya – Site Visit Report (August 2013)

Meeting with Principal and Sponsor I visited Prerana Shishu Vidyalaya in August 2013 along with two video producers from Redstone Films

(Mohammad Irfan Dar and Aman Kaleem).

We met the Principal Mrs. Nanhi Dhar and also met the local sponsor Daniel Sarkar. We produced a video

capturing glimpses of the school, the classes and the students. This video has become a powerful way of

showcasing the project and has received very positive reviews from viewers representing a broad cross-section of

audiences.

screenshot. The website features photos of various school events including Sports Day, National Day celebrations

etc.

The video captures shots from the classrooms and features the aspirations of selected students. The kindergarten

classes are held in the open under the shade of trees in a public park. Classes 1-8 are held indoors in a

community center.
