Wake Tech College & Career Promise Visit www.waketech.edu You must attend an
information session the semester BEFORE you intend to take a class.
AP Courses Take the AP Exam and, with a qualifying score, colleges
will award course credit
CTE Course Articulation Agreement Certain CTE classes can earn you college credit
depending upon your score on the final exam
Research colleges online through their websites,
CFNC.org, and other websites such as The College
Board.
Attend college fairs and talk to representatives when
they visit our campus.
Plan visits to colleges. Spring Break is the perfect
time!
Financial Aid Counselor: Our financial aid advisor, Ms. Norwood, is on campus every Thursday through May.

Talk to a military recruiter. Military service can provide
job training in over 140 occupations and can provide
money for college.
Marines

Reserves
Research job training programs such as internships and
apprenticeships.
Consider certificate programs at the community colleges.
People who do not receive some type of post-high school
training are 3x more likely to be unemployed.
Create a resume.
Consider doing an internship your senior year! Career and College Promise is a dual enrollment program
through Wake Tech. Students who meet the GPA requirement can apply to take community college courses while in high school.
Research employment opportunities.
