INTRODUCTION

Who We Are

We know that children in warm, supportive classrooms show measurable cognitive and social gains—today and for the rest of their lives. At Teachstone, everything we do is about improving the ways teachers interact with their students.

Teachstone offers trainings for coaches and observers, delivers online programs, and designs professional development—all of it grounded in one proven fact: classroom interactions have a lasting impact on children’s academic and developmental success.

Today, thousands of teachers and care providers use our resources—helping to increase the effectiveness of the interactions they provide to hundreds of thousands of children.

How We Work

We know your needs are unique. We have staff all over the United States ready to provide the support you need to learn, measure, and improve. From proposals and contracts to professional development, implementation, and measurement, we will support you at every step along the way. After all, interactions are what we do best. Please reach out to us at any time to find out what comes next.

PROPOSAL

Teachstone has reviewed and discussed the project requirements with Shelby County Schools. We propose several CLASS implementation components for the 2017-2018 school year.

The myTeachstone service will allow Shelby County Schools to continue to support coach, teacher, and administrator needs as they seek to drive improvement in classroom interactions. MMCI participant packages will allow Shelby County Schools to continue to deliver MMCI teacher trainings to help teachers identify, understand, and apply stronger CLASS interactions to their classrooms. The two one-day teacher trainings centered on the Emotional Support and Classroom Organization domains will help increase teachers’ understanding of interactions that fall within these domains and how to improve these interactions in their classroom.

Double Coding will help to ensure that Shelby County Schools’ observers maintain reliability and collect fair and accurate observational data. Live Coding will allow Shelby County Schools to conduct a mock review to help their schools prepare for federal monitoring. Affiliate Training participant packages will allow Shelby County Schools to build CLASS observer capacity.
