Future Trends is a problem-solving category where students become researchers, investigators, creative directors, andtime-travelers – all rolled into one.

Future Trends is not simply fiction or fantasy. It can be said to be “fiction and fantasy meets research”. The creative component to Future Trends is just as important as the research component.

Devices used by teens of 12-14? Is that a lot? Types? The increase in the number of electronic devices manufactured may

lead to may pollute the environment in form of waste and energy by 2030.

A study done by Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition in 2000 showed that the toxic chemicals used to make semiconductors, circuit boards etc, can cause pollution.

Disposal of such information technologies also create environmental hazards as they burden landfills.

The use of PortAll, the integrated learning system may lead to a decline in the standard of education due to the widespread use of the system by teachers to teach.

Again, don’t forget your target group. Add that in all the time and the year 2030.

Research by Southwest Missouri State University in 1999 states that internet-based distance learning may not necessarily be a good thing. The good teaching method is for the teacher to support the lesson through problem formulation.

The decrease in the number of physical meetings and increasing number of online meetings may lead to the breakdown of social relationships due to the over-reliance on the Internet for communication.

with family members, declines in the size of social circles, and increases in depression and loneliness.

The lack of good parental communication (add in age group of your target group) may lead to an increase in the

risk of dangerous behavior, such as drug abuse, in teens due to the absence of direct parent-child conversations.

Research by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Inc (2005) states that positive parenting practices have a significant, enduring, and protective influence on the development on children.

How can we minimise the ill-effects caused by over reliance of electronic gadgets by 12-14??? so that we can make full use of it as a tool to aid mankind in 2030 and beyond, is the target of….
