3) Ron received a Chudley Cannons hat as a Christmas present from Harry
in his 4th year. Although he was very enthused and happy to have got it
then, he found out something during "Care Of Magical Creatures" class
which made him both sad and angry about the gift.
What was it that he found out?
What creatures were being taught about in that class? [1+1]
4) “Well, the Heads of the participating schools are always on the panel,”
said Hermione, and everyone looked around at her, rather surprised,
“because all three of them were injured during the Tournament of 1792,
when a cockatrice the champions were supposed to be catching went on
the rampage.”
She noticed them all looking at her and said, with her usual air of
impatience that nobody else had read all the books she had, “It’s all in
Hogwarts, A History. Though, of course, that book’s not entirely reliable. A
Revised History of Hogwarts would be a more accurate title. Or A Highly
Biased and Selective History of Hogwarts, Which Glosses Over the Nastier
Aspects of the School.”
What ‘Nastier Aspects’ is she talking about?
5) “Well?” said Professor McGonagall, rounding on him. “Is this true?”
“Is what true?” Harry asked, rather more aggressively than he had intended. “Professor?” he added, in an attempt to sound more polite.
“Is it true that you shouted at Professor Umbridge?”
“Yes,” said Harry.
“You called her a liar?”
“Yes.”
“You told her He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is back?”
“Yes.”
Professor McGonagall sat down behind her desk, watching Harry closely.
Then she said, “_________________”

6) ”He was on the sixth stair when there was a loud, wailing, klaxon-like sound and the steps melted together to make a long, smooth stone slide.
There was a brief moment when Ron tried to keep running, arms working
madly like windmills, then he toppled over backwards and shot down the newly created slide, coming to rest on his back at Harry’s feet.”
What happened here?
7) Harry and Ron were never great students. And pretty much like almost
everyone, had no affinity towards Divination. In 1994, Harry and Ron
overloaded with a lot of homework decided to do the Divination homework
in fluke and write random fake predictions. This although, unrealized
proves significant to the plot of the book.
How?
8) ____ Artemis Fido ____
9) "The fumes wafting from the trough in the corner of their padlock was
enough to make the entire Care Of Magical Creatures class light headed.
This was unhelpful as they were still tending the horrible X, and needed
their wits about them”
ID X. Why are the contents of the trough there? [1+1]
10) When Harry was transported to Knockturn alley due to his poor
enunciation skills, he met Hagrid there, who saved him from the creepy
strangers. He told harry that people might think he’s up to no good, if they
spotted him in Knockturn Alley.
What was Hagrid doing there?
11) Deathly Hallows acts as a debut of sorts for two characters who get
their first ever dialogues in this book, despite having been present in the
series right from Philosopher's Stone.
Who are the characters?
12) In the Harry Potter movies, The Philosopher’s stone has a scene where
a certain entity leaves the shot frame. For a sentimental factor attached to
this, the same type of entity is shown coming back into a very similar frame
at the end of Deathly Hallows Part 2.
What am I talking about?
13) Hogwarts, however safe Dumbledore claims it to be, has seen a variety
of accidents which Madame Pomfrey attends to with all the skill she
possesses. These range from minor bone injuries to regrowing bones and
include major issues like being petrified by a basilisk or being ravaged by
an unturned werewolf.
There is only one case in which a student is sent to St. Mungos for an
ailment that is beyond even the skills of Poppy Pomfrey.
What incident? Who?[1]
14) In 1992, when Harry recounts his encounter with Dobby, Ron says
that house elves generally come with old rich families and that the
Weasleys can't afford one. He continues on to say that he bets his mother
wishes they had a house elf to help with the ironing though.
Apart from the Weasley family's penury, why is this an impossibility?
15) Now, Ron, the Sorting’s much more important than food,” said Nearly Headless Nick as
“Madley, Laura!” became a Hufflepuff.
“Course it is, if you’re dead,” snapped Ron.
“I do hope this year’s batch of Gryffindors are up to scratch,” said Nearly Headless Nick, applauding as
“McDonald, Natalie!” joined the Gryffindor table. “We don’t want to break our winning streak, do we?”
Gryffindor had won the Inter-House Championship for the last three years in a row.
“Pritchard, Graham!”
“SLYTHERIN!”
“Quirke, Orla!”
“RAVENCLAW!”
And finally, with “Whitby, Kevin!” (“HUFFLEPUFF!”), the Sorting ended. Professor McGonagall picked up the
hat and the stool and carried them away. “About time,” said Ron, seizing his knife and fork and looking
expectantly at his golden plate.
Out of the characters mentioned in this section. One is exceptionally special.
Who and for what reason? [1+1]
16) “Is that where —?” whispered Professor McGonagall.
“Yes,” said Dumbledore. “He’ll have that scar forever.”
“Couldn’t you do something about it, Dumbledore?”
“Even if I could, I wouldn’t. Scars can come in handy.”
What evidence does Dumbledore provide to backup that statement?
17) We all know that Harry was a Horcrux. And the Horcrux inside Harry had
to be destroyed in order to destroy the Dark Lord, which he did himself in
Harry's 7th year.
Although, in the Chamber of Secrets where Harry was stung by the basilisk
fang, which destroyed 2 of the other Horcruxes, the horcrux inside him
wasn't destroyed.
What's the reason behind this, which also turns out to be the key requirement to destroy a horcrux?

19) "X went out of fashion years ago. You'd be laughed at."
"I don't like Y, they make me sneeze"
"All the kids want Z, they're dead useful“
ID X,Y,Z.[1]
20) In Harry's first year, while the Weasleys are leaving for Hogwarts, Ginny
starts crying, complaining that she wants to go as well. To this the twins
replied that they'd send her _____, to cheer her up.
They later actually attempt to send one to Harry when he is in the Hospital Wing after his confrontation with Quirrelmort.
What?
21) “He might have died and you wouldn’t know the difference,” said Ron in
disgust. “I tried to turn him yellow yesterday to make him more interesting, but the spell didn’t work. I’ll show you, look…”
He rummaged around in his trunk and pulled out a very battered-looking wand. It was chipped in places and something white was glinting at the end.”
What was the white thing?
22) Ministry of Magic has a lot of ingenious ways through which one can
enter. Flush yourself down, floo yourself in, apparate.
Although, To get into the Ministry of Magic through the Phone-Booth, you
need to dial a particular number, so as to avoid muggles accidentally getting
in.
What number? Why is it significant?[1]
23) As much as the characters in the Potterverse love to gossip, the
professors and Ministry are the best. McGonagall, Flitwick, Hagrid and
Fudge were four of the five people whose conversation about Sirius Black
and his betrayal of Harry’s parents was overheard by Harry at the Three
Broomsticks.
Who was the fifth person?
24) "Each wizarding governing body will be responsible for the concealment,
care and control of all magical beasts, beings, and spirits dwelling within its
territory's borders. Should any such creature cause harm to, or draw the
notice of, the Muggle community, that nation's wizarding governing body will be subject to discipline by the International Confederation of Wizards."
—Clause 73, International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy
Country X is a repeat offender of clause 73 as it houses the world’s largest
Kelpie (large shape- shifting water demon in the British Isles) which has
developed quite a thirst for muggle publicity.
What do the muggles know this particular Kelpie as?
25) It is thought by some that Thestral hair makes for a unique personality;
completely dispassionate about allegiances and showing no emotion towards the wizard, thereby connecting with the lore of artefact X. There is
also a school of thought that says that the Thestrals’ connection to the concept of death is another key factor in the many deaths surrounding X.
Yet as Hagrid claims, Thestrals maybe the victims of superstition and X’s
nature maybe due a reflection on power and the allure it has for some
people.
What is X?
26) The Glenfinnan viaduct is built from mass concrete, and has 21
semicircular spans of 50 feet (15 m). It crosses the River Finnan at a height of
100 feet. The viaduct is 18 feet (5.5 m) wide between the parapets. The viaduct is built on a curve of 792 feet (241 m).
It has also featured in a limited edition of Scottish currency notes in 2007 as examples of Scottish engineering.
It is the location on which similar iconic scenes in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th movies
have been shot.
Put funda behind the scene.
27) “It’s been an absolute uproar,” Percy told them importantly the Sunday
evening before they were due to return to Hogwarts. “I’ve been putting out
fires all week. People keep sending Howlers, and of course, if you don’t open
a Howler straight away, it explodes. Scorch marks all over my desk and my best quill reduced to cinders.”
“Why are they all sending Howlers?” asked Ginny, who was mending her
copy of One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi with Spellotape on the rug in
front of the living room fire.
Answer Ginny’s Question.
28) “My Lord,” said a dark woman halfway down the table, her voice constricted
with emotion, “it is an honor to have you here, in our family’s house. There can be no higher pleasure.”
She sat beside her sister, as unlike her in looks, with her dark hair and heavily
lidded eyes, as she was in bearing and demeanor; where Narcissa sat rigid and
impassive, Bellatrix leaned toward Voldemort, for mere words could not demonstrate her longing for closeness.
“No higher pleasure,” repeated Voldemort, his head tilted a little to one side as he considered Bellatrix. “That means a great deal, Bellatrix, from you.”
Her face flooded with color; her eyes welled with tears of delight.
“My Lord knows I speak nothing but the truth!”
“No higher pleasure … even compared with the happy event that, I hear, has taken place _____________?”
She stared at him, her lips parted, evidently confused.
“I don’t know what you mean, my Lord.”
What did Lord Voldemort mean?
29) “Thanks for your last letter. That bird was enormous; it could hardly get
through my window. Things are the same as usual here. Dudley’s diet isn’t
going too well. My aunt found him smuggling doughnuts into his room
yesterday. They told him they’d have to cut his pocket money if he keeps doing
it, so he got really angry and chucked his PlayStation out of the window. That’s
a sort of computer thing you can play games on. Bit stupid really, now he
hasn’t even got ____________ to take his mind off things.”
Who is the letter addressed to? [1]
30) “________” he said brightly, shaking Harry by the hand. “Know who you are,
of course, the famous Harry Potter… And you’re Hermione Granger — always
top in everything” (Hermione beamed as she had her hand shaken too) “— and Ron Weasley. Wasn’t that your flying car?”
Ron didn’t smile. The Howler was obviously still on his mind.
“That Lockhart’s something, isn’t he?” said _____ happily as they began filling
their plant pots with dragon dung compost. “Awfully brave chap. Have you read
his books? I’d have died of fear if I’d been cornered in a telephone booth by a werewolf, but he stayed cool and — zap — just fantastic.
“My name was down for Eton, you know. I can’t tell you how glad I am I came
here instead. Of course, Mother was slightly disappointed, but since I made her
read Lockhart’s books I think she’s begun to see how useful it’ll be to have a
fully trained wizard in the family…”
