  • For 2017, USDA Farm Service Agency’s

    certified corn acreage planted in Arkansas was

    589,150. Arkansas planted 22% less acres in

    2017 than 2016’s 752,398 acres.

    The top five counties for corn planted

    acreage in Arkansas were Arkansas,

    Jefferson, Lonoke, Phillips, Craighead. The

    top five counties planted 32% of

    Arkansas’ total corn acreage.

    In 2017, 94% of the corn acreage planted in

    Arkansas was irrigated. The county with the

    largest planted acreage, Arkansas, irrigated
