PINPOINT ACCURACYGRUNDOBORE 200S
The Horizontal Auger boring method is a reliable static pro-cess for installing sewer house connections as well as prod-uct and steel protection pipes under streets and railways tracks. Installations can be either steered or non-steered. With the steered method in sewer construction, high levels of on-target precision required in sewer construction can be achieved.
The compact GRUNDOBORE 200S is powered by an exter-nal hydraulic station with hydraulic drive energy and is par-ticularly suitable for installing sewer house connections and product and protection pipes up to DA 280.
Since the GRUNDOBORE 200S support frame and auger boring unit can be installed separately, launching is possible from a 1 m-manhole or exceptional small work pit.

STANDARD APPLICATION FOR INSTALLING SEWER HOUSE CONNECTIONS AND CROSSINGS BENEATH ROADS AND RAILWAY TRACKS.
PHASE 1: PILOT ROD INSTALLATION
The pilot rods with the pilot bore head are pushed forward directionally (or nondirectionally) from out of the
manhole or pit.
PHASE 2: UPSIZING BORE
After installing the pilot rod, the drill rods are linked to the bore head and augers and are pulled back towards
the drill rig whilst rotating. Simultaneously, the augers transport the soil into a target pit, and the casing pipes
or retrievable steel pipes are pushed in over a bearing carrier at the end of the auger without need for rotation.
PHASE 3: PUSHING IN THE PIPE
By pressing in the product pipes from the direction of the drill rig, the retrievable pipes are pushed into the
target pit from where they are recovered.
SPECIAL APPLICATION: LINEAR HDD METHOD
One special application is the creation of HDD bores in difficult stony and rocky ground conditions.
SPECIAL APPLICATION: PIPE BURSTING METHOD
The renewal of property sewer service connections is another special application.
