The automated cycle control: fast and simple communication
between man and machine
Even without computer control experience, the smart WEILER control
will effortlessly guide you through the program. The automated cycle
concept allows you to operate the E40 in the same way as a conven-
tional manual lathe. Alternatively, you can completely program the
workpiece contour with the assistance of a geometrical processor up
to and including calculation of the points of intersection.

Simple workpieces are machined in the same way as on a
conventional lathe, only better.
Complicated workpieces are machined in the same way as
on a conventional lathe, only faster.
Complex workpieces are machined in the same way
as on a CNC lathe, only easier.
Easier to use – more efficient – even safer
The new WEILER E40 has been specifically designed to be
even easier to use than its predecessors. To further increase
efficiency, improve the view of the working area and provide
the best possible protect ion for the operator, the housing
has been redesigned, and the posit ioning of the apron and
control opt imized.
Strong bed and a st rong spindle
Three factors ensure that the new E40 provides the
highest possible cutt ing performance:
The new bed concept w ith a total w idth of 330 mm
(impressive for this class of machine)
The newly conceived heavy-duty headstock w ith a
stronger main spindle and a spindle bore of 66 mm.
The powerful main drive w ith a rat ing of 20 kW
Pow er alone is not enough
Throughout the concept ion process, emphasis was not only
placed on performance data. The new design also improves the
ergonomics, accessibility, ease of use and at tract iveness of the
machine. With the machine cover closed, all control elements are
outside of the working area and consequent ly accessible to the
operator at all t imes.
