THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER—APRIL 15, 2018

Respecting Elders: One man at the age of 80 was in his house together with his son who was 45 and he was an educated man. The old father was sitting on the couch when a crow came to the window. And, the old man asked his son a question: “What is this, son?” His son told him it was a crow. Only after several minutes, the father asked the same question. His son replied: “I have just told you, father. It’s a crow.” Again, for the third time, the father asked the same question. And, now, the son yelled: “I have told you many times that it is a crow! Why do you ask me the same question over and over again? Are you unable to understand?” After a while, the old man went to his room and took a diary in which there were written many things from his son’s youth. So, he asked his son to read the first page. And, here’s

what was written there: “I was sitting on the couch with my three-year-old son, and there was a crow on our window. My boy asked me “What is that?” for about twenty times, and I gave him an answer every time he asked. Also, I hugged him each time he asked me. It did not irritate me, but it made me feel affection for my innocent child.” Let us always treat our parents with high respect and honor. Let us make sure to speak to them kindly, and be kind, cool, obedient, and humble to them. We should see our parents happy because they have raised and showered us with unlimited love. They have done so many things in order to raise us as a good human being. No matter how our parents behave, let us make sure to treat them nice. First Holy Communion: Not sure how many times I stretched my hand out as a child to get communion when my par-ents and siblings received and I was not old enough. I am sure the same thing happened in your life too. I see that all the time at Mass when parents receive communion, the little children show their hands too with hope. I couldn’t wait to start receiving communion. Well this coming Sunday eight of our wonderful children (Linkin Baize, Carson Ebelhar, Klaudia Hayden, June Larsen, Triston Logsdon, Madelynn Murphy, Lynniah Powell, and Logan Trembly) will be receiving Je-sus for the first time in the Eucharist. What an important day in the lives of these children. Let us pray that they will al-ways be walking in God’s grace and may they always have love toward the Mass and the Eucharist. Parish Hall Updates: The work on the roof of the Parish Hall and the School Building began on the 6th of this month and is progressing. Thanks to all of you for your generous donations toward this project. We are also looking into replac-ing the windows, flooring, ceiling tiles, and buying new round tables, etc. Those of you who didn’t have a chance to do-nate toward this project please do so. Your donation is cheerfully accepted however small or big it is. Thanks to all of you for your love and belonginess to this wonderful family of Precious Blood. Until We Meet Again: When her late husband’s will was read, a widow learned he had left the bulk of his fortune to another woman. Enraged, she rushed to change the inscription on her spouse’s tombstone. “sorry, lady,” said the stone-cutter. “I inscribed ‘Rest in Peace’ on your orders. I can’t change it now.” “Very well, she said grimly. Just add “Until We Meet Again.” God’s blessings, Fr. Suneesh Mathew
