Weekly Event:
Hope Lodge: At this event, we work with cancer patients currently undergoing treatment at Moffitt as well as their families. We usually play bingo and hang out with the residents in an effort to take their minds off what they are going through.
Time: every Tuesday from 7-8pm.Achintya Patel

Shriners Hospital for Children: Only four people are allowed to come with me each week. During the hour time frame PAMSA members will partake in arts and crafts activities with the patients, while earning community service hours.

Epilepsy Services Foundation: On average, once a week we will attend a variety of different opportunities that will enhance our knowledge and awareness regarding Epilepsy. Several times we will attend meetings to get an insight on how Non-Profit organizations operate, while other times we will interact one-on-one with individuals dealing with Epilepsy.

Tutoring at Pizzo Elementary: An opportunity to work with kids by reading with them and mentoring them. Time: Every Tuesday from 2:30-3:30 PM beginning Tuesday, September 22

We are seeking to expand our volunteering opportunities and one of the options we are looking into is St. Joseph's John Knox, a Retirement Community for seniors. More information on St. Joseph's coming soon!

Walk Date: Saturday, October 24, 2015
Walk Location: Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park (Same as last year)
Shift One: 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. (Set-up, 10 volunteers needed. Lunch will be provided. )
Shift Two: 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. (Help during event: registration, food, bounce house, check on vendors and tear down. 15-20 volunteers needed.)
Festival Starts at: 2:30 p.m.

Through the Physician Shadowing Program we hope to provide our members with the education needed to successfully obtain physician shadowing opportunities.

Lauren Albaum has the information and resources of health professions including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, veterinary medicine, optometry, occupational therapy, and athletic training. She can teach you how to understand the comprehensive requirements of a competitive application and the know how of the application navigation process. Lauren is knowledgeable in both academic and non-academic factors of an application.
