SBE Program Requirements

The City of Phoenix strives to advance the economic growth of local businesses through its Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program.

The City requires the participation of SBE firms throughout ALL phases of contracts.

Subject to City of Phoenix Code, Chapter 18, Article Vl, pertaining to the participation of Small Business Enterprise (SBE) firms.

The City of Phoenix SBE Goals Committee has established an SBE participation goal of 15% for this contract.

The successful submitter is required to meet or exceed the Required SBE Goal for ALL work performed on the construction contract.

The Prime Contractor is required to demonstrate good faith efforts to utilize certified SBE firms to achieve this goal during the life of this contract.

Project DescriptionPINNACLE PEAK ROAD: 45TH AVE TO 35TH AVE

This Street Improvement project is located in Phoenix, Arizona. Installationof new storm drain and paving improvements will be constructed onPinnacle Peak Road beginning at 45th Avenue extending to just west of theSkunk Creek Wash bridge crossing approach east of 35th Avenue.

Project is intended to improve drainage, traffic movements and walking& bicycling conditions in the neighborhood by widening Pinnacle PeakRoad and installing new bike lanes and sidewalk improvements alongthe south side of the roadway. New pavement widening, pedestrian &bicycle improvements on Pinnacle Peak Road will extend approximatelyone mile in length.

Installation of new storm drain improvements on 43rd Avenue extendnorth on 43rd Avenue from Pinnacle Peak Road to just south of MistyWillow Lane. Upgraded box culvert crossing at Pinnacle Peak & 40th

Lane to improve the existing drainage in the project area.

Scope of WorkPinnacle Peak Road Paving Storm Drain & Landscape

Scope of Pinnacle Peak Road project improvements include: Pinnacle Peak roadway pavement removal and subgrade preparation Installation of new asphalt concrete pavement to widen the roadway Installation of new concrete box culverts, upgrading the crossing at 40th Ln. Installation of new ADA compliant sidewalk & concrete driveway entrances Installation of new concrete curb & gutter and curb returns Installation of new storm drain main line, connector pipe & catch basins Installation of new LED street lights, includes light poles, luminaires J-boxes

and underground street light conduit Installation of traffic signals, LED luminaires, detectors and signal conduit Project also includes landscaping and new irrigation system Miscellaneous items and various other work
