What is Prayer?

Prayer is a way of staying in touch with God and deepening our relationship with Him

Prayer takes time and effortPrayer should be a daily activity, taking time to speak and listen

What is Prayer?The answer to our prayers are

not always what we think they may be

The answer to our prayer might not always be what we want

God’s view is infinitely bigger than our view

In answering our prayer, God does not take away human freedom

PRAYER OF PETITIONProbably the most common type

of prayerAsking for things for yourselfWe bring our requests before God

for ourselves, our friends, or our family.

At Mass petitions are read but petitions can be said at anytime.
