Week 1: Healing---Day 1 (Physical Healing)

Meditation Scripture: Psalm 103:1-5 (KJV)1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His Holy name. 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases 4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, 5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Reflection:1.) In Psalm 103, the writer commands His soul to bless the Lord and he lists five reasons why in verses 3-5. Take some time to list them.

2.) According to Psalms 103:3, how many diseases is God willing to heal you of? How many iniquities will God forgive you of?

Sample Prayer: Father, I will command my soul to bless You when I’m happy and full of joy, but also when I’m tired and sad. You are an amazing God and I will not forget the benefits of serving You. On the cross, Your Son provided the best healthcare benefit package ever known! You are able to heal cancer, diabetes, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS and any other disease that may attack the body. You desire to redeem my life from the pit and crown me with love and compassion. For this, I will praise You and serve You for all of my life. Thank You for the miracle of healing. Unleash Your power in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Week 1: Healing ---Day 2 (Physical Healing)

Meditation Scripture: Exodus 15:26 (KJV)26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Meditation Scripture: Psalm 107:19-20 (KJV)19 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. 20 He sent His word, and healed them, and de-livered them from their destructions.

Reflection:1.) Sometimes, our own disobedience can open up the door for sickness and illness. Reflecting on your relationship with God, think about commandments that God has given you that you neglected. Name 3-5. Ask the Lord for forgiveness and ask Him for the miracle of healing in your life. Thank Him for past healing also.

Sample Prayer: Father, sometimes I have not “diligently” listened and followed through with Your commands. Sickness is not always a result of disobedience; however, if there has been an area where my disobedience opened the door, or has the potential to open the door for illness to come in, forgive me God. You are my Jehovah-Rapha, God my healer, and I believe that You are able to remove sickness from me as I walk away from sin in my life, and receive and obey Your Word. Thank You for this miracle. Unleash Your power in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Week 1: Healing ---Day 3 (Physical Healing)

Meditation Scripture: Matthew 10:1 (KJV) 1 And when he had called unto him His twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Meditation Scripture: Acts 10:38 (NIV)38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and pow-er, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

Reflection:1.) In Christ, we have been given the power to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Has there been a time that you neglected to pray with someone who was sick and needed your faith and prayers?

2.) List three people who are sick and are in need of prayer. Will you call them this week and pray for them?

Sample Prayer: Father, we thank You for Your Son, and the power He has freely given to us to cast out devils and heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Thank You for the power to perform miracles in Christ’s name! We ask that You manifest the gift of healing in us individually, and as a corporate body to exhibit the power of God more than ever before. We pray that our church, The Park, will be a place of continual miracle acts of healing and deliverance. Unleash Your power in our lives! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Week 1: Healing ---Day 4 (Emotional Healing)

Meditation Scripture: Psalm 147:1-3 (NIV) 1 Praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise Him 2 The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the exiles of Israel. 3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Meditation Scripture: Jeremiah 30:17 (NIV) 17 But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the LORD, ‘because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.’

Reflection:In scripture, the definition of heart comes from the Hebrew word “leb” (בֵל) which can represent the inner man, mind, will, heart, soul, and conscience within man. The heart can also represent the seat of emotions, passion and the seat of courage. As we experience disappointment in life, these areas can be broken in ways that we can see and sometimes can’t see. Ask God to show you areas where your heart is broken due to harmful life experiences such as mistreatment, rejection, or abuse.

Sample Prayer: Father, You are the God who heals the brokenheart-ed. You are able to bind up my emotional wounds. Please heal the places inside of me that are hurting because someone mishandled me or disappointed me. Some of it occurred in my childhood, and/or adulthood. Father, it has affected my joy and confidence and I need You to send Your miraculous healing power and love to touch the deep places in my soul and emotions. Unleash Your power in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Week 1: Healing ---Day 5 (Emotional Healing)

Meditation Scripture: Philippians 4:6-7 (AMP)6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circum-stance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. 7 And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Reflection:1.) Name three areas in your life where fear, anxiety, worry, etc. has risen up and caused you to disobey a specific command from God. What were the consequences? Ask God for forgiveness.

Sample Prayer: Father, forgive me when I allowed my fear of what other people think to disobey You. Help me to remember that others did not die upon the cross for my sins, they do not wipe my tears from my eyes, they do not take delight in satisfying my desires with good things, and their thoughts of me are not like the sand of the sea. Yet, I still worry about what other people think when You prompt me to do something. I need miraculous healing in my mind from the fear of people. My fear of what other people think has caused me to miss many outstanding opportunities and blessings from You. I receive miraculous mental healing in this area. Unleash Your power in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Week 1: Healing---Day 6 (Emotional Healing)

Meditation Scripture: Psalm 42:9-11 (NIV)9 I say to God my Rock, “Why have You forgotten me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?” 10 My bones suffer mortal agony as my foes taunt me, saying to me all day long, “Where is your God?” 11 Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Meditation Scripture: Psalm 30:11:11 (NASB)11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness.

Reflection:1.) Mourning is an expression of grief and sorrow. Name three areas that caused mourning in your life in the past year. (ex, consequences for disobeying God, death, rejection, a car accident) In Psalms 42:11, what did the Psalmist do, in spite of His circumstances?

2.) In Psalm 30:11, what did God do for the Psalmist after a period of mourning? Do you find gladness after praising and worshipping God?

Sample Prayer: Father, there have been experiences in my life that have caused me grief and sorrow. I have been depressed God. I ask that You would help me to place all of my hope in the fact that You take delight in bringing me out of all destructive situations. Do something in my life that will turn my mourning into dancing. Thank You for the Word on Sunday morning that always leaves me glad. This truly is a miracle and I bless You for it! Unleash Your power in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Week 1: Healing---Day 7 (Total Healing)

Meditation Scripture: 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV) 18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Meditation Scripture: Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)20 Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

Meditation Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!

Reflection:According to 2 Corinthians 3:18, it is the will of God to transform us into His image “with ever-increasing glory.” This is a miracle we experience throughout our walk with Christ. Name areas where you would like God to heal you, emotional, physical or financial. Remember, God will do exceeding abundantly above all that you could ask or think, so don’t think that any problem is too hard for God. No matter how long it’s been there. Shout about it!

Sample Prayer: Dear Father, thank You for the miracle of salvation and all that it brings! I am so thankful that I have eternal life and all benefits of glory through the work Your Son did at Calvary. There have been some areas that I have struggled with for years and I’m tired of these battles Lord. I want newness in these areas of my life. I ask to go to a new level of glory through deliverance and healing in these areas. Unleash Your miracle working power in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

RELATIONSHIPS

Week 2: Relationships---Day 8

Meditation Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:4-5 (NASB)4 Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! 5 “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

Meditation Scripture: Matthew 6:33 (NIV)33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Reflection: 1.) According to Deuteronomy 6:5, what three areas are we to love God with?

2.) Do you feel that in the last year, you have loved God with everything you have? Why or why not? What were some of the obstacles and distractions?

3.) What adjustments can you make to love God as He commands? Sample Prayer: Father, I love You. Each morning new mercies I see because You choose to be faithful to me. You are mindful of me at all times. Your thoughts towards me are as numerous as the sand at the ocean. You watch me closely, even to the point of knowing each tear that I cry, and every hair that is on my head. My relationship with You is more important than anything in this world. I desire to seek You, and place You before all things. In life, distractions come and oftentimes I find myself failing to love You with everything that I have. Forgive me. Create in me a clean heart, and renew the right spirit within me. I desire to love You with all my heart, my soul, and my might. Unleash Your power in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Week 2: Relationships---Day 9

Meditation Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NIV)4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Reflection:1.) In our relationships, God has commanded us to love each other. But this can be difficult, because God’s concept of love is quite different from the world’s concept of love. What doesn’t love do, according to 1 Corinthians 13:4-6?

2.) What does love “do” according to 1 Corinthians 13: 4, 6, 7, and 8?

3.) What areas do you need to work on in your “love” walk? For example, are you keeping a record of wrongs? Are you impatient with people? How can you do better?

Sample Prayer: Father, help me love as You love. You are forgiving, You protect me, You hope in me, and You persevere with me through difficult times. I ask for forgiveness in areas where I was envious, easily angered, and kept record of another person’s wrongs as justification for not loving them. I cannot love people out of my own strength. Your love has to abide in me and flow to others. Show me what I can do to open my heart to deep, rich, abundant deposits of Your love. Unleash Your power to love in my life! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

1514

Week 2: Relationships ---Day 11

Meditation Scripture: Romans 12:18 (NIV)18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Meditation Scripture: Psalm 34:14 (NIV)14 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

Meditation Scripture: Mark 4:39 (ESV)4 And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Reflection:1.) Oftentimes, in our relationships with others, angst and tension can occur. Are you currently involved in relationships that exhibit these qualities? Name two. (Think about relationships with family, friends, at work or church.)

2.) Read the scriptures above. Can we bring peace into our relationships with each other? According to these scriptures, how so?

Sample Prayer: Father, the Word of God declares that peace depends upon me. I desire to be obedient to You so that peace can come into my life. I also desire to turn from anything evil that I am doing to allow conflict and turmoil to exist in my relationships with others. Give me the strength to speak the Word to anything in my life that is unruly and dangerous, this includes situations and people. Unleash the power of Your peace in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Week 2: Relationships ---Day 10

Meditation Scripture: Genesis 2:18 (NIV)18 The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

Reflection:1.) Our God likes to create suitable relationships in our life. These are relationships that are beneficial and helpful to our God- given purpose. How are you nurturing your relationships with others you are sure God has placed in your life? Are you spending time together through fellowship and prayer, or are you distancing yourself?

2.) God has given us His Spirit as a Comforter and Teacher. How is your relationship with the Holy Spirit? Where are you quenching the Spirit’s help in your life?

Sample Prayer: Father, by Your intelligent design and divine providence, You have put me in relationships that are suitable for Your purpose in my life. You have given me people to speak to my flaws and strengths, pray with me, inspire me, and help me when I need it. You allow me to do the same in their lives. In addition, You have given me Your Spirit. I thank You for Godly relationships and my relationship with the Holy Spirit. Let me not resist and distance myself from these relationships. They are important for my survival and accomplishment of Your will while I am on earth. Unleash Your power in my life for better relationships! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

1716

Week 2 Relationships---Day 13

Meditation Scripture: Job 16: 20-21(NIV)20 My intercessor is my friend as my eyes pour out tears to God; 21 on behalf of a man he pleads with God as a man pleads for His friend.

Meditation Scripture: Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NIV)9 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up!

Reflection:1.) Reflecting upon your relationships, who do you feel you can pray with in times of trouble? What does Job 16:20 call someone who will pray with you?

2.) How often do you pray with friends and family? How often do you give them prayer requests?

3.) If you do not pray with, or for others, why not? Can we apply Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 to our prayer life and why?

Sample Prayer: Father, thank You for sending people to pray for me in my time of need! I am so grateful! The roads of life can be bumpy and dark, but You have given me people who love You and can pray for light and deliverance to come into my life. In my friendships and relationships with my family members, let me not shun away from opportunities to pray. Give me the boldness to open up my mouth, on the spot, and pray for others as You have sent others to pray for me. This is Your way. Unleash Your praying power in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Week 2: Relationships---Day 12

Meditation Scripture: Mark 11:24-25 (NIV)24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that Your Father in Heaven may forgive your sins.

Meditation Scripture: Matthew 18:21-22 (NASB)21 Then Peter came and said to Him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

Reflection:1.) In the past year, thinking about those who have wronged or mistreated you, what actions have been hard to forgive?

2.) According to Mark 11:25, why is continual forgiveness important to God?

3.) Jesus commands us to constantly forgive according to Matthew 18:21-22. Yet, why is it hard to forgive someone over and over again?

Sample Prayer: Father, I am thankful for Your forgiveness of my sins. You don’t forgive some, but all of my acts of disobedience when I confess to You. However, in my relationship with others, there have been some things that others did that hurt me. Sometimes, I forgave them, and they did it again. In these situations, help me to fully obey Your commandment to forgive, and give me strength and wisdom on how to love the person so they can see Christ in me. Unleash Your forgiving power in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

1918

Week 2: Relationships---Day 14

Meditation Scripture: Proverbs 20:19 (NIV)19 A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid anyone who talks too much.

Meditation Scripture: Proverbs 18:21 (KJV) 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Meditation Scripture: Ephesians 4:29 (NIV) 29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Reflection:1.) How have words damaged some of your relationships within the past year or several years? What did you say, and what were the consequences?

2.) When was the last time someone spoke words to you that “tore” you down? How did it make you feel?

Sample Prayer: Father, I get angry sometimes. Sometimes, I have moments when I’m simply tired. In these moments, sometimes my words do not often reflect You to others. Forgive me for the times that my words have caused problems in my relationships with others. Lord, place a guard over my mouth so that I will not speak words that are unwholesome and unedifying to those who are around me. Let the fruit of my lips always be blessed. Let them come from sweet waters within as I fill myself with Your Word. Help me to forgive those who have spoken negative words to me. Unleash Your power to have a wholesome tongue in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Week 3: Finances---Day 15

Meditation Scripture: Hebrews 13:5 (NLV)5 Keep your lives free from the love of money. Be happy with what you have. God has said, “I will never leave you, or let you alone.

Meditation Scripture: 1 Timothy 6:10 (ESV)10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

Reflection:1.) What makes people love money more than God? Why does having money make you feel good in life?

2.) Has there been a time where your pursuit for money led you away from God? What were some of the consequences?

3.) In our everyday needs, according to Hebrews 13:5, what did God say He would do?

Sample Prayer: Father, thank You for blessing me with the ability to obtain money to pay bills, buy things that I need, and to purchase things simply for enjoyment. However, sometimes I have loved and trusted in money more than I have loved and trusted in You. Sometimes, when working for money, it has caused me to be too tired to pray, read scripture, and serve in the church. I ask for forgiveness for any time this has happened and thank You for a clean heart and new priorities. I desire to place You first, knowing that You are gracious, will supply all of my needs, and work financial miracles in my life. Unleash Your power in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Week 3: Finances---Day 16

Meditation Scripture: Matthew 6:32-33 (NIV)32 ”For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for Your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Meditation Scripture: Deuteronomy 8:18 (ESV)18 You shall remember the Lord Your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth that he may confirm His covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Reflection: 1.) According to Deuteronomy 8:18, who gives wealth to you?

2.) Why is it when God blesses people with more money or a new job, they sometimes take a break from spiritual activities? Why is this a problem? What are some of the consequences?

Sample Prayer: Father, thank You for the power to get wealth. Thank you for gifts You have given me, years of schooling, skills, and for a job that pays for this training. Thank You that You are with me at my job, giving me grace to perform in a spirit of excellence. Forgive me, for placing work as more of a priority than seeking You. I promise to continue to remember that all of my wealth comes from You and to seek You first in all things. Unleash Your power in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

2322

Week 3: Finances---Day 17

Meditation Scripture: Deuteronomy 28:11-13 (ESV) 11 And the Lord will make you abound in prosperity, in the fruit of your womb and in the fruit of your livestock and in the fruit of your ground, within the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. 12 The Lord will open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. And you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13 And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you shall only go up and not down, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, being careful to do them.

Reflection:1.) Deuteronomy 28:11-13 shows that God is the source of blessings. What are these blessings contingent upon?

2.) Think of areas of lack in your life. Was it a result of disobedience to God? What can you do this week to obey God?

Sample Prayer: Father, I repent for not being obedient to You in all things. You desire to radically bless me simply for obeying You out of love. I desire to receive the full blessings that You have for me out of Your “good treasury.” I pray that You would make me abound in prosperity, bless the work of my hands, and make me the head and not the tail in life’s situations. There are times I disobey You out of fear of the unknown, unbelief, lack of trust, and a lack of radical love for You. Remove these things from my heart. I pray for a heart that is ready to obey. Unleash the power to obey and prosper in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Week 3: Finances--- Day 18

Meditation Scripture: 2 Corinthians 9:10 (NIV) 10 Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.

Meditation Scripture: Malachi 3:10 (NIV)10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Reflection:1.) In farming, when you a sow a seed into the ground, it produces numerous fruit. In 2 Corinthians 9:10, who supplies seed to the person who sows? When God asks you to give or “sow” a seed, is it money you have supplied, or He has supplied?

2.) What is a result of sowing into the house of God according to both 2 Corinthians 9:10 and Malachi 3:10?

Sample Prayer: Father, You are good and wise. When You ask me to give, You do not ask me to give money that I have gotten on my own, but the money that I give came from You. This not only includes money, but time, and all things that I have in my possession. All things come from thee Oh Lord! I pray that You rid me of any place in my heart where I have grudgingly withheld from You, and help me to be a cheerful giver of the resources You have given me. I thank You, God, for being a cheerful giver to me. I thank You for miracles in my finances and overflowing blessings as I sow into Your Kingdom. Unleash Your giving power in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

2524

Week 3: Finances--- Day 19

Meditation Scripture: Proverbs 22:7 (ESV)7 The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.

Meditation Scripture: Galatians 5:1 (ESV)1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

Meditation Scripture: James 1:5 (NIV)5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

Reflection:1.) How does Proverbs 22:7 describe those who borrow money? What does Galatians 5:1 say about freedom and slavery?

2.) What does James 1:5 say about asking God for wisdom on how to get out of debt?

Sample Prayer: Father, I thank You for miracles in my finances and supernatural debt cancellation. I repent for borrowing money when I shouldn’t have. I want to learn Your perspective on finances starting now. I come to You asking for wisdom on how to get out of debt. Your Word says that You will give wisdom to me generously and without fault finding. I believe that You have sent Your Son to set me free from any type of bondage that may be operating in my life, including bondage to debt! Thank You for working a miracle in my financial life as I pursue a renewed mind about money. Unleash Your debt removing wisdom in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Week 3: Finances--- Day 20

Meditation Scripture: 2 Kings 4:1 (NKJV)1 A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and You know that Your servant feared the LORD. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be His slaves.”

Meditation Scripture: 2 Kings 4:3 (NKJV) 3 Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few.”

Meditation Scripture: 2 Kings 4:6-7 (NKJV)6 Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel. “And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. 7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”

Reflection:1.) Did God care about the woman’s debt? How has God shown you that he cares about your debt?

2.) After she obeys the man of God, according to 2 Kings 4:7 and pays her debt, will she have anything left over?

Sample Prayer: Father, thank You for supernatural power and divine ideas to get out of debt. Thank You for being the God of more than enough. Unleash Your debt cancellation power in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

26

Week 3: Finances---Day 21

Meditation Scripture: Luke 14:28–30 (NKJV)28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’?”

Meditation Scripture: Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV)22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Reflection:1.) How does Luke 14:28-30 relate to budgeting and finances?

2.) If you feel an impulse to buy things without looking at your budget then it may be an area of your life where you lack self-control. According to Galatians 5:22 who gives the fruit of “self-control” and “patience”?

Sample Prayer: Father, I ask forgiveness for being impulsive and out of control with spending. Sometimes I shop driven by my flesh rather than the Spirit. You want me to enjoy life and have nice things, but not if it creates financial problems in my life. Please help me to operate in “self-control” and “patience” in my everyday spendinghabits. Unleash Your power for more self-control and for me to be less impulsive in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
