Success cannot be achieved without a dint of hard

work, devotion and dedication. Action is the

foundational key to all success. The theme of

success was excellently presented by the students

of class XI in the special morning assembly, held

on February 16, 2012, in the school premises,

which filled the students with great gusto and

fervour. A motivating thought, depicting the way to

success, was presented by Geetika Batra, followed

by a thought provoking poem by Sanjari,

highlighting the tips to succeed in life. An article

on the same theme, enlightening the minds of the

students to work hard and never give up, was

presented by Sonia and Shruti. Achievement,

when recognized and rewarded, fills an

individual’s mind with a sense of pride and

self-esteem, and can take him to the acme of his

life. The diligence and dedication of our students

was appreciated in the assembly, by awarding

them medals, for scoring good positions in various

inter-house events of sports like badminton, table-

tennis, carrom, chess etc., literary and cultural

events like poem recitation competition, debate

competition, flower making, pot decoration etc.,

for the session 2011-2012, and for having 100%

attendance in the session 2010-2011. The winners

were complimented and congratulated by our

honorable Principal Mr. B.S.Yadav, who, reiterat-

ing the importance of hard work in a person’s life,

exhorted the students to participate more and

more in such activities, and not to be afraid of

failures, as failure is not falling down, but staying

down.

Young Achievers Awarded Success Mantra:

Arts, Science or Commerce…Make the Timely

It is very important for a student to pick what caters best to their individual abilities and not get bogged down by the advice from people around them The need to make a choice what career one picks for life is very important because it defines the rest of your life and the choice should be made carefully so that a person can enjoy their career throughout, with-out any regrets of what might have been. The transi-tional phase from school to college is the most crucial. It is very important for a student to pick what caters best to their individual abilities and not get bogged down by the people around them influencing into making what may be a wrong choice. Thankfully, the education system has seen a change in trends in recent years from the focus, slowly shifting from a career option based on peer pressures and parents choices to one based on ones own choice and capa-bilities. This trend has changed as the industries based on science have met their requirement of pro-fessionals and there now is job shortage where as the fields based on Arts are steadily flourishing with the job prospects being much brighter. The stream which is neutral is the field of Commerce which has seen a steady range of students picking it as a career choice over the years because it has a reputation of being a safe stream with most having an assured job. There are many who are unable to pick between Science and Arts as both are equally important. There are many choices now available to the students which bal-ance Arts and Science and are both creative as well as scientific. If the interest is towards Arts then the mis-take can be easily rectified at the college-level by picking a course that interests them. But if the need is to jump from Arts to Science then it is not possible and often this is where Arts is at an advantage. It would be best to make the final call on your career choice after careful thinking as an error of judgement might not easily be rectified. With the plethora of career options available today, from event management, photo-journalism, corporate communication, gemology, travel planning and the works, the list is endless. All it needs is to find what interests you so that you will have a great time as you study and work ahead.

Being curious, systematic, observant, critical and rational have helped in the material and cultural evolution of mankind. Advancements in medicine, communication, have helped man to realize the importance of hav-ing a scientific approach. The students presented this through a play wherein developments in the field of science in India, contribution of stalwarts like Newton and Edison were highlighted. Our National Symbols A special assembly was organized in the junior block, highlighting the signifi-cance of the various national symbols. It began with a thought, mother and motherland is even greater than heaven and we should love and respect them. The children depicted the various national symbols like peacock, lotus, tiger, flag, emblem etc. through a dance. They looked splendid in their costumes, the atmosphere was charged with the feeling of national glory and pride. At the end of the programme everybody had the flame of patriotism kindled in their heart as they chorused with the participants......................JAIHIND

Seasons Bidding farewell to chilly winter and welcoming warm summer was the right time to recap the theme of sea-sons. A very interesting activity was organized for our Nursery – Prep children where corners for all seasons were developed. Four seasons were displayed which included everything from the things we use, eat, wear in that particular season. Our aim was to make learning enjoyable for our young minds. They could easily relate to the things displayed and were full of excitement to see drops of rain, snowman, jalebis, rainbow , ice cream etc. It was a perfect presentation where our children explained about the seasons very confidently. These ac-tivities not only enhance their knowledge but also give them a platform to develop other skills like communi-cation, expression of thoughts and most prominently courage to present their view.

The Early Man The assembly was being conducted by teachers of class I and II depicting the life and culture of our great grand ancestors "Early Man" As it has been rightly quoted "Necessity is the mother of all inventions". Similarly the early man opened his eyes in the lap of nature and the nature also nurtured them as their mother. As the need demanded he discovered clothes, fire and wheel.

Gradually he evolved himself from early to modern man.
