Tom McNab, a physical educationist, was National Athletics Coach from 1963-78, and his Five Star Award Scheme reached 60 million children. In 1981, he was Technical Director of Oscar-winning ‘Chariots of Fire’, and a year later his fi rst novel ‘Flanagan’s Run’ reached number one in the best-seller lists. He has never lost his passion for teaching children and now puts his ideas into action weekly at Lee Valley Athletics Centre.
