Regina is the capital of Saskatchewan and the 16th largest city in Canada with a population of 205,000 as per 2012 annual demographic estimates.
Originally called Pile O’ Bones because of the huge piles of bones left in the area by First Nations hunters.
The community was renamed REGINA (Latin for Queen) after Queen Victoria who was the monarch at the time in 1882. It has been the "Queen City" ever since.
Regina has always had a diverse immigrant population(Multicultural Population), with immigrants from many European and Eastern European countries, some as guest workers, some as international students with their families.
