OBJECTIVE: By the end of the lesson, pupils should beable to:

1: Name the fruits verbally

2. Describe the fruits based on the pictures

Presentation:

Teacher shows a basket of fruits to

the pupils.

Teacher introduces the fruits and drills

the pupils with the correct

pronunciation.

PRACTICE

Teacher introduces the song to pupils.

Pupils listen to the song and sing along.

Teacher asks the pupils to list out and name the fruits listed in

the song.

Teacher asks the pupils to describe the fruits according to the

colours, shapes and tastes.

Next, teacher conducts an activity related to riddles.

Teacher divides the class into groups of 4. Each group will get

one riddle about a fruit.

The group will read the riddle and the other groups need to

guess the answer.

Teacher starts the lesson by giving a

riddle of watermelon to the pupils.

Pupils guess the answer.

Song.

Teacher displays the lyrics and asks the pupils to read

aloud.

Pupils need to sit in pairs.

Pupil A will get text A and Pupil B will get text B.

blanks by listening to their partners reading.

Pupils need to complete the text and finally check the
