To be left alone with one's mind. Is hardly thought as dangerous. Is it? What if you could see yourself perform everyday tasks as if you were behind a pane of glass? What if you began to doubt your existence, and thought nothing could hurt you because you didn't feel real?

What if there was someone out there just like you? Someone who could fit the pieces together?

Melissa has forgotten who she is. Everyday she asks herself whether any of this is real, or whether she's trapped in her own imagination.

She meets a girl, Niamh. Who appears to be just like her, if not completely the same. Can Niamh help Melissa to find herself, and escape from her own imagination?

(Work in progress)

•As a sub genre, it incorporates ideas from mystery and drama•Focuses more on the processes of the mind rather than the physical•Characters are reliant on their mental resources rather than physical strength•Characters usually have to resolve conflicts with themselves •Themes are usually: reality, mind, existence, purpose and identity•Fast cuts are common because of the suspense and tension•Close ups are quite common, as they portray the character’s emotion

My target audience are people aged 13+ I feel this because the film isn’t a horror so the age certificate should be a 12a+ but only for mature 12 year olds as it is still a psychological thriller.

It will appeal to a wide audience as most people like the genre of psychological thriller, because it’s an intriguing genre filled with mystery

The film will appeal to people working or who are interested in mental health or suffer from depersonalization

Because the film features 2 females, it may appeal to males more than females

What’s caused this?

Who is Niamh?

Is this film portraying real life, or it Melissa’s imagination?

Why has the contrast and levels been edited so drastically?

Does she actually suffer from Depersonalization or is it all a dream?

Is pathetic fallacy intended?

The other video is on my blog. However because it has been uploaded through facebook, it won’t play on school computers.

This is how I hope my teaser to turn out like. I want it to have fast cuts, and high levels of contrast and use of chroma key.
