At a special meeting in January 2010, the Board of Directors voted to place a two year moratorium on non-criteria special use endowment funds. The purpose of this action is to begin to build an account which will serve as initial monies for a fundraising campaign. Money raised from the fundraiser campaign will be donated to the Ponca Public School District as a gift from the Foundation and donors to enhance the new 7-12 building project. Be sure to watch for upcoming details of this exciting opportunity to donate!

The Board wishes to recognize and thank longtime director, Phil Wineland, for his many years of service to the Foundation. Joining the Board of Directors in 1997 as superintendent of Ponca School, we have appreciated and benefi ted from Phil’s insight into the needs of the school district and his assistance with the publishing of our annual brochure. Though Phil is stepping down from the Board of Directors, he will remain active with the P.C.E.F. as a member for the Scholarship Selection Committee. The Foundation is fortunate to have so many people dedicated to quality education. We thank everyone who helps in our success.
