There are no presenters in June and July, since school personnel are off for the summer. There was a Supported Employment meeting with DVR, TRE, DIDD (Division for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities), and local provider agencies on 6/6/14. At the meeting, DVR’s low rates were brought up. DVR will be raising the rates it pays vendors in the fall, which will hopefully encourage more agencies to provide that service. We discussed

We discussed strengths and barriers to employment. Sometimes self-employment is not seen by everyone as viable. Some employers do not allow job coaching. DVR currently has a waitlist, but some people are now coming off the waitlist.PPITT budget:

Marsha Unruh said that lots of people were calling her the day of the fair making sure that they had a booth.

The ARC is presenting Great Expectation for Future Planning. The session for disability professionals will be presented Friday morning. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

TRE is hiring Community Coordinators to accommodate the influx of 188 people receiving new SLS funding slots. These are people coming off the SLS waitlist.

SKSF is starting to provide EBD (Elderly /Blind/Disabled) waiver services and Family Caregiver services.

Carmel Brain Center has been approved by the state to offer behavioral services. They are also approved now to accept Medicaid and Medicare.
