Where is your cart? Is your cart parked to the right of 1 greenor to the right of 9 tee? Does your cart drive right past cart directional signs? Last fall and this spring email communications regarding our effort to seed around greens and tees that were damaged by fungal diseases from heat and humidity in 2016 were sent out on multiple occasions requesting that carts stay on paths near greens and tees. Observations from last fall and early play this year show that the message is not getting through. Help from carts is also needed near cart directional signs that are used around wet or high traffi c areas. These signs keep carts off wet and high traffi c areas and allow the carts to go off the pathon drier holes instead of making the entire course cart path only. Please help us keep the carts on paths when putting or tee-ing off, and obeying cart directional signs. If your cart is having trouble following the above mentioned requests then pleasereturn it to the Golf Shop for a different one. Aeration. Greens aeration is scheduled for April 24th and 25th. Completion in the spring is necessary to prepare the turf for the summer stresses, which include: heat, rainfall, disease, insects and compaction. Autumn is the next best time to aerate because root growth is maximized and soil compaction is reduced from the summer season. Below is a list of benefi ts that occur from aeration: Decreased compaction. Increased root development. Increased drainage. Decreased thatch development. Increased tolerance to heat. Increased water and nutrient uptake to the plant. Reduced isolated dry spots. Increased tolerance to insects and disease.

Slow Play-It isn’t my fault! Ittakes about one hour to actually “play” your shots in 18 holes of golf. The other 3 to 3 ½ hours are spentgetting to the next shot, choosing the right club, looking for your ball and socializing. Golf Digest recently did a survey

(see results below) where they asked golfers to rate their ownwwpace of play versus other golfers. Their conclusion ...it’s not my fault, it’s the other golfers! It is safe to say that Spring has fi nally arrived at Seven Oaks.We had a great start to the season and fortunately we were able to play some golf in March! The Grille Room opened March 17 and we had a great crowd opening night. Chef Greg and his culinaryteam put out an amazing spread for St. Patrick’s Day brunch.

If you have not attended a brunch, I highly recommend giving one a try, I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. Our next brunch is on Palm Sunday, April 9. We already have closeto 200 reservations! The Easter bunny will be arriving at 1:30 PM for the Easter Egg hunt. He gave me a call at the end of March to see how many kids will be attending, so he has plenty of eggs to hide. He said the extended forecast looks good and he will most likely be hiding the eggs outside!

Easter is on Sunday, April 16 and reservations are quicklyfi lling up. Be sure to contact the Club to make your reservations!

I am excited to welcome a new member of the Seven Oaks team. Ashley Frynkewicz is our new administrative assistant at the front desk. She joined the staff on March 27. She is a greatfi t for Seven Oaks and will do an outstanding job in assisting our members.

We have been busy preparing for the upcoming season and planning social events at the club-house where the calendar is starting fi ll up with all the activities that are planned! We have had so much fun with the kids cooking classesthat began in 2013 that we thought we would expand themfor 2017 by offering the Kidz Culinary Club to 6 - 12year olds with 4 classes plus our Kidz September Sunday Brunch. We will be offering some fun classes that will have minimal knife work handled by the older children and our associates that help us out for the class. Once again on September 10, 2017 we will be holding our Sunday Brunch featuring the Kidz as they help pick the menu and prepare as well as serve. Grille Room Dining. No member or committee shall plan or setdates for dining room activities without prior approval of Seven Oaks Country Club. Dining reservations are highly recommended.Members are asked to assist in maintaining required service levels by making reservations for dining prior to 3 PM on the day involved. A 24 hour notice is requested for parties of more than six (6) persons. We request that members who have special dietaryneeds notify the Club ahead of time. Reservations for dining will be held for only fi fteen (15) minutes after the reserved time.

Club Special Events. Reservations are required for activities of the Club and shall be accepted on a fi rst-come, fi rst-served basis by pre-registering with the Club offi ce. For all functions of the Club held in the dining rooms of the Club, tables will be assigned on a fi rst-call, fi rst-choice basis. Reservations for special tables will not be accepted. We cannot guarantee that groups larger than ten will be seated at the same table. Cancellation of a reservation must occur

Banquets. Reservations for banquets should be made at least two (2) weeks in advance. Notifi cation of cancellations for a ban-quet event must be made four weeks before the event is scheduled.The fi nal guest count is required one week before the function. After the fi nal count is given the guest count may not be lowered, however additions may be made up to 3% of the total count. A fee of 10% of the total food cost will be charged for any guest count being added above 3% after the fi nal guest count has beendetermined. A non-refundable deposit is required for banquet reservations. Failure to cancel dining and special event reserva-tions will result in a charge to the member’s Club account. The dining, special event and banquet policies shall be determined by Seven Oaks Country Club.

A unique way to celebrate your's or your child’s birthday, graduation party or a just for any reason event would be on our Har Tru tennis courts and tennis deck.
