Includes Ashmin Tough Hardfacing for extended life.
Bearing Section
Dri l l ing - Bearing Section
» Mud lubricated; no seals » Mandrel catch safety feature » Load sharing ball and race design for maximum WOB » Balls designed as the main wear component to extend race and motor life » Patented direct applied or tungsten carbide tiled and replaceable radial bearings
designed for optimal radial loading » Run in the field successfully since 2004 » Lower bearing housing slick or stabilized
Our Bearing Sections have successfully handled the toughest jobs since 2004. Our radial bearings and thrust races were engineered to be the best performing on the market while also reducing operating costs. This means less NPT, simpler maintenance and lower long-term operating costs.

» Best-in-class wear rates that reduce operating costs and NPT » Patented direct applied or tungsten carbide tiled bearings
designed for optimal radial loading » Tested against all leading manufacturers » Field-proven in all major sizes
» 3-3/4” and down feature proprietary carbide matrix and carbide sleeves
» 4-3/4” and up feature tungsten carbide tiles
Our radial bearings match or exceed the performance of all leading bearing manufacturers, helping to lower net operating costs and reduce downtime. As a result, our radial bearings continue to prove their value for major tool rental, full service, and operating companies.
How did we achieve best-in-class performance? We tested 120+ unique bearing materials to understand and overcome accelerated wear, a common weakness of radial bearings. Our aggressive testing program allowed us to select the optimal combination of binder materials and tiles to improve bonding, erosion and wear resistance (see graph). We accomplished this by engineering a custom bearing tester to simulate downhole conditions with a controlled side loading force up to 2,000 lbs and 200 RPM.

Ball & Thrust Races
» Reduces NPT and long-term operating costs » Run successfully in the field since 2004 » Patented thrust races are load sharing and in compression » Replaceable balls act as wear component to reduce wear on the
higher cost races
Our patented Thrust Races offer a perfect balance between cost and performance by reducing downtime and long-term operating costs. The races are engineered to compensate for ball wear, with minimal impact on performance, while the balls serve as a replaceable wear component to extend the life of the races.
How did we achieve the perfect balance? The balls and races are designed and manufactured to be load sharing and in compression, which ensures even wear across all balls. This provides consistent wear and performance while reducing long-term costs compared to systems where the high-cost races wear faster due to greater and/or uneven wear.

Integral Blade StabilizerWith the housing and stabilizer constructed from one piece of material, our IB Stabilizer is well suited for soft, hard or abrasive formations while eliminating the risk of leaving the stabilizer in the hole.
Threaded StabilizerStabilizer body threads onto the housing and is replaceable at the rig to help keep drilling on schedule.
Our standard and speciality stabilizers allow you to take control in an unstable environment. Threaded and Integral Blade stabilizers with spiral or straight blades and proprietary Ashmin Tough Hardfacing represent unbeaten performance and value.
Spiral blades ensure 360° surface contact, while straight blades provide maximum fluid concentration. Combined with our proprietary Ashmin Tough Hardfacing, our stabilizers are economical and versatile while helping stabilize the BHA in hard or abrasive formations for a full gauge and extended service life.
» BHA stabilization for hard or abrasive formation » Increased drilling performance » Maintains full-gauge borehole » Proprietary Ashmin Tough Hardfacing reduces wear, extends stabilizer life and can
be refurbished as needed » Available with either open or full wrap and spiral or straight blades » Manufactured in both Non-Magnetic and AISI 4145 heat treated material
3-piece Adjustable Bend Housing
Dri l l ing - Transmission Housing
» Adjust angle in the field without measuring torque and with minimal backoff » Largest thru-bore in the industry for large, high-torque transmissions » Full-bore available for sliding over transmission (see below for available sizes) » Wear pads with proprietary Ashmin Tough Hardfacing can be refurbished as needed » 0.00 to 3.00 degree settings
Our patented 3-piece Adjustable Bend Housing (ABH), the only 3-piece ABH on the market, offers unique value. By eliminating the offset housing, adding an adjustable cam ring, and including an EZ3 trim ring, the ABH accepts larger transmissions and is field adjustable with minimal backoff without measuring torque. In addition, the full-bore version is capable of sliding the complete housing assembly over our C-V III transmission. This offers uncompromised flexibility in operations and inventory management.
