Why gender in planning?
• Applying a gender point of view at urban environment means to understand if cities are planned for women and man of every age, income and race.
• Change towards the gender mainstreaming in spatial and urban planning is visualization and redefinition of social values that are creating equality for man and women.
• Integration of gender mainstreaming in urban planning processes means to promote and improve structures which support the equality of women and men, and at the same time accepting their differences to achieve equal opportunities.

Objectives
• To include gender perspective in spatial and urban planning as an integrative part of the planning process in local level.
• To provide gender analysis of General and Urban Plan and basic studies made for plans in order to understand current situation and possibilities
• To strengthen intersectoral cooperation in order to create overall study as basis for gender mainstreaming in spatial and urban planning in the City of Novi Sad.
• Future development will be built on such networks, therefore, project increases chances for sustainability.

Administration will express its willingness to implement gender mainstreaming in all future laws and policies adopted on local level.
Learning process Provincial Secretariat for Labor, Employment and Gender Equality
Twenty participants of programme will be educated to implement gender mainstreaming in their work.
Creation of study analyses and recommendations
Commission for gender equality , Urbanism Office, Faculty Department of Architecture and Urbanism
Study will be basis for amending General Plan and Urban Plans. Students will get opportunity to engage in learning trough assisting to researchers .

Constraints
• Adoption of Resolution on Gender Equality could be time consuming process because of the slow administration and procedure.
• Around 50% of population in Serbian urban areas is having internet connection at home.
• Limited availability of gender statistic and gender indicators in Serbia
