It’s the Simple Things to Do and Not Do
Too Wordy• 4 by 5 four bullet points of five
words each• maximum of 33 words per slide• Think of famous catch phrases and why
they’re so popular…most contain only THREE WORDS
Spell Check, Please!
• their vs. there What are other mispelled words?
• Apostrophe’s in the right spot• Don’t assume you know how to spell
it correctly. PROFREADING is essentail!
Bullet Points
• Bullet points are meant to convey big ideas• If you stay on a slide over a minute, too
many bullet points becomes boring• People read faster than you can talk• Most people don’t write full sentences - Texas home to mockingbirds - Teacher takes home work for homework
Color Scheme• The Perfect Example• Look at color combos that are easy
on the eyes• Think of you emotions are tied to
colors• Jazz it up with pictures or cool
borders
