• The Fruitmot can be present in roses

harvested on rose farms in Africa.

• Beside the already taken measurements for

preventing the presence of larves, eggs and

mots of the fruitmot in the rose cultivation, it

is possible to carry out a CATT treatment on

the harvested product.

• Requirements:

• A gastight room with temperature / RH and O2 and

CO2 control possibilities

•A receipt for application providing 100% mortality

and prevent product damage.

• per example: during 12 hours the product is

exposed to following conditions:

•20ºC, 2% O2, 25-30% CO2, controlled humidity.

•Testing have to be performed to fine tune the

conditions in order realize maximum mortality and

prevent product damage.

• It is possible to apply such treatment on the

product direct after harvesting / sorting / packing,

just before cooling the product for shipment.
