-watching 20’s collections and memo key features. (3 hours) -categorizing by trends (1 hour) -making research book with collages (one week) -shooting own stylings of trends using own clothes (one day) -researching street fashion on the street and also from online (everyday) -looking for agencies (2 hours) -scanning research book and make it by Power Point (1 hours)

300 words report(resubmission work) 3 trends I’d like to emphasize are Stripes, Fur, and Oriental.Throughout seeing collections, I find a lot of influential brands such as YSL, Michael Kors, D&G and Tommy Hilfiger and more other brands introduce striped garments. Also all brands show black and white striped items. Although striped clothes make us feel sometimes boring, Marc Jacobs designed unique ones and I was impressed it. Some brands including YSL,PRADA, MIUMIU, and show long fur coats. When I saw PRADA’s catwalk, white fur coats with large high-contrast flower graphics are really remarkable. Fendi uses fur for collar of jacket, and MIUMIU introduces fur stoles printed with tie dye circles. These scarfs are showed not wrapping around necks but just hanging one shoulders. Furs make women gorgeous and elegant Having looked at PRADA, ETRO and Emilio Pucci seems to be inspired by oriental costumes a lot. ETRO and Emilio Pucci introduce similar dress to Chinese traditional dress or suit for judo, and detailed embroidered garments are oriental native patterns. As for PRADA, it seems to be inspired by Japanese courtesans who wore huge plat form shoes and wearing dress showing décolleté. Items which are similar to Japanese traditional sandals called “Geta” or socks are also appear on the show. On the street, we can easily find fashionable people wearing striped items and fur coat or hat. As same as collection, monochrome stripes show up more than other colored stripes. Many people enjoy wearing fur items getting from vintage shops. As for orientalism, I still have not found oriental items on the street because it is difficult to incorporate the oriental styles into daily casual fashion. However, I am sure it will soon appear in different styles of orientalism which is acceptable for public fashion, so people who are trying to catch up with trend fashion should not stop to pay attention to orientalism.
