Vocabulary.● Earthquake -> An

earthquake is caused by a sudden slip on a fault. The tectonic plates are always slowly moving. An earthquake releases energy in waves that travel through the earth's crust.

Landslide - > is a geological

phenomenon which includes a

wide range of ground

movements, such as rock falls,

failure of slopes and deep shallow

debris flows.

A flood -> is a natural event that

can have far reaching

effects on people and the

environment. is an overflow of

water that submerges land which is usually

dry.

Volcano -> is an opening, or

rupture, in the surface or crust

of the Earth , which allows hot

lava, volcanic ash and gases to escape from the magma below

the surface.
