Powering the People Hosted by the IEE, an Institute of the Edison Foundation, Powering the People: Innovations for a Better World is an annual event that brings together electric utility CEOs and technology company executives, as well as state and federal policymakers, to discuss electric trends and technologies moving the nation forward. The event highlighted transportation electrification, including utilities’ fleet electrification to the latest advances in electric transportation, and the economic and environmental implications of electrified vehicles, fleets and off-road applications. Visitors toured Electric Avenue, which displayed electric vehicles from Audi, Ford, Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Tesla, Toyota, VIA Motors, Volkswagen, Zero Motors, and more, demonstrating the wide variety of electric vehicles now on the market.
