Power Service, Inc. has been working with several uranium companies to up- date existing fields and break ground on new fields. The uranium industry and its in-situ mining techniques, uti- lizes many of Power Service, Inc.’s product lines including our fabrication facilities. Our team, side by side with our custom- ers, have developed several complete turnkey header house packages that save our customers time and money. We deliver a total facility, complete with wiring and piping connections for a smoother start up, that is ready to drop over a concrete basement. The header house includes: (30) injection headers, (30) production headers, (7) 316 SS FSI filter vessels, (1) submersible pump along with a complete motor control center, and (60) mag flow meters. This facility utilizes HDPE and PVC piping compatible with many fluids, while con- tinuing to be cost effective. In addition to the header houses, Power Service, Inc. has also provided many Flowserve pumps to be utilized as field booster pumps and deep well disposal plants. Providing EMISSIONS FREE, Reliable, Prime Power Through our long standing relationship with BP, we were fortunate enough to supply three of FlexEnergy Inc’s Flex Turbine (TM) MT250s Generators to operate BP Wamsutter’s newest water disposal unit. The system consists of three Micro Turbine generators, each producing 250kW each. The system will be fueled using pipeline natural gas to produce continuous power in an area where no utility power is available. The turbines will do this while exceeding the highest air quality and emissions standards. The system also has the ability to be operated, if necessary, off of LPG. While maintaining a pre-determined amount of available online power, these three units are governed by one control unit that monitors current power loads, automatically bringing machines on and offline to meet changing power demands.
BP required reliable power generation from a system that meets the strictest air quality standards, requires low maintenance, and is designed for remote, industrial sites. With FlexEnergy’s gas turbine technology and Power Service’s engineering and packaging capabilities, we are meeting BP’s needs with equipment that has been custom packaged for the extreme cold and harsh environment present at their location.
The FlexEnergy systems will power 100% of BP’s onsite power requirements. This Flex Turbine (TM) MT250 sys-tem also allows BP to grow operations while maintaining air quality compliance in a highly regulated environment. Micro Turbines offer much lower maintenance and emissions, as compared to conventional reciprocating engines. The low emissions make the permitting process much easier and allows for a quicker installation of the equipment and far fewer problems meeting emissions in the field. The units can stand alone offering 250kW or can be used together to offer as much as 1,500kW. The turbinescan operate on the widest range of fuels down to as low as 5% methane while delivering emissions that are almost undetectable.
