After deciding our genre
we had to pick locations.
We made this wordl full
of things and feelings we
would want in a perfect
location.

On a trip to Lincoln I aimed to
improve my camera technique. The
top photo is an example a low-angle
shot; the bottom left is an example of
a mid shot; the bottom right shot is
an example of a close up with a
shallow depth of field.
These photos were taken with the
‘black and white’ effect on my
Fujifilm bridge camera.

The photograph on the left is taken
with the ‘chrome’ colour setting on the
camera. It is an example of an close
up but also using the ‘rule of thirds’ as
the stone column in the foreground
takes up two-thirds of the shot.

This photo is taken in black and
white to make it look more gothic
and imposing. It is an extreme low
angle shot taken from a canted
angle that makes the building look
bigger.

This photograph is taken in
black and white as it adds an
extra gothic element to the
building. This is taken from a
low angle (around knee height)
and from a 45 degree angle in
retrospect to the building.
