As we all know, the internet is a storehouse of digital information. Cyberspace is also another term for internet. It also allows communication between 2 or more people.

The Internet began with the implementation of the ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network) that was used by the U.S. Military.
It evolved and used the TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) protocol suite.
Today, it became widespread and most of us use these protocols to connect to the internet.

BY THE WAY... -TCP provides reliable, ordered, error-checked delivery of a stream of octets between programs running on computers connected to a local area network, intranet or the public Internet. It resides at the transport layer.

1. Dial-Up Connections
= This type uses a modem and a telephone line to contact the ISP or Internet Service Provider.
*Max Connection speed is 56 Kbps.

= Integrated Services Digital Network is a network that uses special equipment to transfer data via telephone lines.
*Max Connection speed is 128 Kbps

= Digital Subscriber Line is a connection that allows both internet and telephone conversation, as it will not interfere each other.

= It utilizes the internet through not the ISP but through the Cable Provider itself.
