. AFFIDAVIT FILED BY THE PETITIONER

1. I, P.Chandira,Hindu, aged 47 years working as Assistant Engineer,

Highways,Nabard and Rural Roads,Panruti wife of R.Thangavel, E-77, Anna

Road, Block – 27, Neyveli, now temporarily come down to Chennai, do hereby

solemnly affirm and sincerely state as follows.

2. The Petitioner well acquainted with the facts of this case of

Shri.R.Thangavel is my husband who is working as Chief Manager, Neyveli

Lignite Corporation, Neyveli and herewith submits the copy of the Notary Attested

copy of Power of Attorney document to represent before the Hon’ble High Court,

Supreme Court and other courts of Tamilnadu.

3. The petitioner is working in Tamilnadu Government and witness to

Tamilnadu Vigilance Department and Neyveli Lignite Corporation Vigilance

Department,Neyveli the petitioner’s husband is victimised in many ways and his

promotion and loss of pay has occurred. The Hon’ble High Court has permitted the

petitioner to represent the cases on behalf of her husband from the year of 2008.

Recently the petitioner and petitioner’s husband filed a Writ Petition in WPSRNo:

55488, the Hon’ble Mr.Justice not permitted to argue the matter on 07.05.2015.

The Hon’ble High Court referred for Legal Assistance from State Legal Service

Committee. As per rules and regulation the salary of the applicant should be less

than one lakh per year, the petitioner wants to appear in person. The petitioner

wanted to be an advocate but as per the advice of my father I studied B.E (Civil) in

P.S.G.College of Technology, Peelamadu, Coimbatore and subsequently studied

M.E (Structural Engineering) in Annamalai University, Chidambaram as part time

and made an attempt to study Master of Business Administration through

Correspondence and the project work and some papers have to be completed. The

petitioner also made an attempt to study Law through Correspondence in

Annamalai University, through internet,etc.

4. The petitioner’s father is Thiru.P.P.Pattappan is aged about 77 and having

operated with hip joint fracture he is residing at Chittode in Erode District.

Thiru.P.P.Pattappan gave power of attorney to the petitioner to appear before the

Court cases for the property matter which is registered before Sub-Registrar office,

Kavindapadi, Erode District on 06.09.13.The petitioner submits the copy of the

Registered Power of Attorney document before this Hon’ble High Court.

5. In these circumstances, the petitioner humbly prayed that this Hon’ble High

Court may please to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other Writ or direction to the

respondents to permit the Petitioner to represent on behalf of her husband

Shri.R.Thangavel and to her father P.P.Pattappan and thus render justice.
