POVERTY

the World Bank has estimated

that there were an estimated

1,345 million poor people in

developing countries who live

on $1.25 a day or less.

There are poor people

everywhere that will do

whatever it takes to eat even if

its in the garbage. Like this

man is doing.

There are people in the world

so hungry, that God cannot

appear to them except in the

form of bread. ~Mahatma

Gandhi

People that drop off there clothes

that they don’t want anymore in this

bin goes to people that really do need

clothes and shoes.

Almost all of the pictures I found about poverty were kids. Kids are the ones that

end up suffering the most, and they are also the ones that die the most. Due to lack

of nutrition and diseases.

People that cant afford to feed there

whole family or just themselves come

here and get all the food that they need

to eat for a while and its all free for

them.

It would be nice if the poor were to get even half of the money that

is spent in studying them. ~Bill Vaughan

People that have limited money and need a number of different things for a

cheap amount can come here and shop and not pay a lot for things they may

need.

Children are the most visible victims of under nutrition. Children who are poorly

nourished suffer up to 160 days of illness each year. Poor nutrition plays a role in at

least half of the 10.9 million child deaths each year--five million deaths

Here is another thrift shop in

downtown buffalo. People can

come here and do the same

thing.
